2. Name and Function of Connector Purpose of this manual
This manual is an installation manual of Audio D/A
Converter Board BKPF-L752.
This manual is intended for use by trained system and
service engineers, so describes information regarding
installation.

1. Installation
BKPF-L752 is composed of the following items.
. Main board (DAC-38 board)
. Connector panel (CN-1858/1859 boards)

Before attaching BKPF-L752 to a interface unit
Set the setting switch (S3) on the main board.

Attaching BKPF-L752
BKPF-L752 is designed to be installed and operated in the
interface unit PFV-L1 or PFV-L10.
In accordance with Section 1-6 in the installation manual
of PFV-L1/L10, be sure to attaching the main board and
connector panel of BKPF-L752.
Adjusting the audio input/output gain
If necessary, adjust the gain after attaching BKPF-L752.
Matching connector/cable
When external cables are connected to the connectors on
the connector panel, the hardware listed below (or equiva-
lents) must be used.

AES/EBU IN (Digital audio signal input)
connectors
Accept the digital audio signals of the AES/EBU
format.
Normally, input the CH1/2 to the connector 1, and
input the CH3/4 to the connector 2.

AUDIO OUT (Analog audio signal output)
connectors
Output the analog audio signals converted from the
signals of the AES/EBU format supplied to the AES/
EBU IN connectors.
The signals input to the AES/EBU IN 1 connector are
outputted as the AUDIO OUT CH1 and CH2.
The signals input to the AES/EBU IN 2 connector are
outputted as the AUDIO OUT CH3 and CH4.

When a 3-pin connector type is used for connection
with a cable, four connectors are required.
When a 6-pin connector type is used, two connectors
are required.
