Bei Nahbesprechung von Mikrophonen ist häufig
eine unangenehme Übersteuerung zu hören, das
sogenannte Popgeräusch. Dies wird vor allem
durch Plosivlaute wie „p“, „t“ und „k“ hervor-
gerufen. Bei diesen können mühelos Spitzen-
pegel von 135 dB SPL bei normaler Stimmlage
erzeugt werden.
Moderne Mikrophone können diese Pegel ohne
Übersteuerung übertragen, jedoch kann durch
die kurzzeitige große Membranauslenkung ein
„Blubbern“ hörbar oder der folgende Mikro-
phonverstärker übersteuert werden.
When microphones are used for close speech,
an unpleasant form of overloading is frequently
heard, the so-called pop noise. This is caused
by plosives such as „p“, „t“ and „k“, which can
quite easily generate peak levels of 135 dB SPL
at normal voice pitch.
Even though modern microphones can handle
such levels without electrical overloading, the
momentary large excursion of the membrane
may result in an audible “gurgle”.
