Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Kauf Ihres VDO Fahrradcomputers. In dieser Anleitung erhalten Sie alle Hinweise zur Bedienung
sowie viele weitere nützliche Tipps. Bitte lesen Sie diese Anleitung sorgfältig durch, damit Sie noch mehr Spaß mit Ihrem VDO
Computer haben.
Viel Freude beim Fahren wünscht Ihnen das Team von VDO Cyclecomputing.
Bevor Sie mit der folgenden Anleitung beginnen, prüfen Sie zunächst den Verpackungsinhalt.

1. Tastenfunktionen/Bedienung
RECHTE TASTE (

MODE-Taste)

Im Betriebsmodus: Wechsel zwischen den Display Modi: TOT,

TRP,

CLK.

Im Einstell-Modus (SET-Mode): Einstellungen vornehmen (Ziffern einstellen)
LINKE TASTE (

SET-Taste)

Im Betriebsmodus: Öffnen des Einstell-Modus (SET-Mode) für

Radgröße, Uhr und Gesamtkilometer.

Im Einstell-Modus (SET-Mode): Auswahl der zu ändernden Ziffer.

2. Funktionen des Computers
AKTUELLE GESCHWINDIGKEIT (

KMH/MPH)

Die aktuelle gefahrene Geschwindigkeit bis zu 120 KMH oder 75 MPH wird
permanent im Display angezeigt (Genauigkeit 0,1 KMH).

FAHRSTRECKE (

TRP)

Zurückgelegte Strecke der aktuellen Tour, bis maximal 999,99 km oder mi.
Beim Überschreiten von 999,99 KM beginnt die Streckenzählung wieder bei Null.

UHR (

CLK)

Aktuelle Uhrzeit im 12 H / 24 H Format.

GESAMTSTRECKENZÄHLER (

TOT)

Kumulierte Gesamtstrecke aller Touren bis zu 99.999 km oder mi. Der Wert kann
nach einem Batteriewechsel wieder eingegeben werden.

SLEEP MODUS

Zur Verlängerung der Batterielebensdauer schaltet der A4+ automatisch in den

„Sleep“ Modus, wenn 3 Minuten keine Signale des Sensors/Senders verarbeitet

werden. Nur die UHR wird angezeigt.

Der Empfänger im A4+ bleibt für 2 Stunden

aktiv. Wenn weiterhin keine Signale empfangen werden, wird er abgeschaltet.

Zu erkennen am blinkenden CLK-Symbol. Um den Empfänger wieder zu

aktivieren, drücken Sie eine Taste. Generell wird der Empfänger bei Inaktivität

nachts um 24:00 Uhr abgeschaltet.

Wenn Sie eine Taste drücken, startet der A4+ wieder.

3. Zurückstellen des Computers
3.1 ZURÜCKSTELLEN DER WERTE EINER TOUR
Zum Zurücksetzen der Tour-bezogenen Werte für TRP drücken Sie die SET- und die MODE-Taste gleichzeitig für 3 Sekunden.
3.2 Zurückstellen aller Einstellungen auf Werkseinstellung
Zum Zurückstellen

aller Display Funktionen und aller programmierten Einstellungen (inkl. CLK, TOT und Radumfänge)

benutzen Sie bitte einen spitzen Stift und drücken Sie die ‘AC’ Taste auf der Rückseite des Computers.
ACHTUNG: Dabei wird auch der Gesamtstreckenzähler TOT auf Null gesetzt.

4. Montage und Inbetriebnahme
4.1 BATTERIE-EINBAU COMPUTERKOPF
Zur Erhöhung der Lebensdauer wird die Batterie Ihres A4+ nicht werkseitig eingebaut. Der VDO A4+ benötigt eine 3V CR2032
Batterie. Ersatzbatterien erhalten Sie im Fachhandel (VDO-Nr. 1013). Bei normaler Verwendung beträgt die Lebensdauer der
Batterie etwa ein Jahr.
Hinweis: Prüfen Sie in jedem Problemfall zunächst die Funktionstüchtigkeit der Batterie, bevor Sie eine Reklamation tätigen.

STEP 1

Entfernen Sie den Batteriedeckel mit einem flachen Geldstück (2-Euro-Stück) aus dem Computergehäuse.

STEP 2

Setzen Sie die Batterie mit sichtbarem +-Pol in das Gehäuse ein. Achten Sie darauf, dass die Batterie sich

nicht verkantet und der Batteriekontakt nicht beschädigt wird.

STEP 3

Setzen Sie den Batteriedeckel vorsichtig ein, so dass die Gummi-Dichtung flach aufliegt.

Hinweis: Bei geknickter Dichtung kann die Wasserdichtigkeit Ihres Computers beeinträchtigt werden.

STEP 4

Drehen Sie den Deckel mit dem Geldstück bis zum Anschlag vorsichtig fest.

WICHTIG: Während des Batteriewechsels wird Ihr Computer alle Werte für etwa 20 Sekunden speichern.

Um alle Werte zu erhalten, nehmen Sie den Wechsel zügig vor. Sonst müssen die programmierten Einstellungen
für Radgrößen und Gesamtkilometer neu einprogrammiert werden.

Tipp: Beschaffen Sie sich rechtzeitig eine Ersatzbatterie und setzen Sie diese rechtzeitig ein, um Ihre Werte zu erhalten.
Notieren Sie trotzdem vor dem Batteriewechsel Ihren eingestellten Radumfang und den Gesamtkilometerstand.

Hinweis: In seltenen Fällen zeigt das Display nach dem Batteriewechsel keine oder irreguläre Zeichen an.
Drücken Sie in diesem Fall die AC-Taste auf der Rückseite des Computers und programmieren Sie Ihre Werte neu.

4.2 BATTERIE-EINBAU SENDER
Die Batterie im Sender Ihres A4+ ist werkseitig eingebaut. Der Sender benötigt eine 12V Batterie Type LR 23 12V. Ersatzbatterien
erhalten Sie im Fachhandel (VDO-Nr. 1014). Bei normaler Verwendung beträgt die Lebensdauer der Batterie etwa ein Jahr.

STEP 1

Entfernen Sie den Batteriedeckel mit einem flachen Geldstück aus dem Sendergehäuse.

STEP 2

Setzen Sie die Batterie mit sichtbarem +-Pol nach oben zeigend in das Sender-Gehäuse ein.

Achten Sie darauf, dass die Batterie sich nicht verkantet und der Batteriekontakt nicht beschädigt wird.

STEP 3

Setzen Sie den Batteriedeckel vorsichtig ein. Die Gummi-Dichtung muss flach aufliegen.

Hinweis: Bei geknickter Dichtung kann die Wasserdichtigkeit Ihres Computers beeinträchtigt werden.

STEP 4

Drehen Sie den Deckel mit dem Geldstück bis zum Anschlag vorsichtig fest.

5. Programmierung des Computers
Um Geschwindigkeit und Strecke ermitteln zu können, benötigt der VDO A4+ den Radumfang (in mm oder inch) des Rades,
an dem die Werte gemessen werden sollen.

5.1 ERMITTLUNG DER EIGENEN RADGRÖSSE:
Ihr Computer kann in Schritten von +/-1 mm (+/- 0.1 inch) programmiert werden. Die folgende Tabelle zeigt die Maße für die am
meisten verbreiteten Reifen an. Diese Werte stimmen nicht unbedingt exakt mit den tatsächlichen Werten überein. Abweichungen
von weniger als 50 mm (2 inch) haben jedoch keine signifikanten Auswirkungen auf die Messung normaler Touren.

Wenn Ihr Radumfang nicht aus der Tabelle hervorgeht, ermitteln Sie den Wert wie folgt:
STEP 1

Stellen Sie Ihr Rad aufrecht hin und richten Sie das Rad, an dem Sie den Sensor montieren wollen so aus,
dass das Ventil exakt am Boden ist. Achten Sie darauf, dass der Reifen entsprechend der Einsatzbedingungen voll
aufgepumpt ist. Markieren Sie die Position des Ventils mit einem Strich oder Klebestreifen am Boden.

STEP 2

Schieben Sie nun Ihr Rad gerade nach vorn, bis nach einer Umdrehung das Ventil wieder direkt am Boden steht.
Markieren sie die Position des Ventils wiederum mit einem Strich oder Klebestreifen.

STEP 3

Der Abstand der beiden Markierungen entspricht Ihrem Radumfang, bzw. Ihrer Radgröße.

5.2 AUSWAHL MEILEN ODER KILOMETER
Der A4+ kann Geschwindigkeit und Strecke in Kilometern oder Meilen anzeigen. Sie können jederzeit zwischen den Einheiten
wechseln. Alle Werte werden dabei automatisch umgerechnet.
STEP 1

Rufen Sie „TRP“ im Display auf. Drücken und halten Sie die SET-Taste für etwa 3 Sekunden.

STEP 2

km oder m blinkt im oberen rechten Display. Wechseln Sie mit der MODE-Taste zwischen

Meilen

m und Kilometer km.

STEP 3

Drücken Sie die SET-Taste, um Ihre Auswahl zu bestätigen. Der A4+ wechselt nun automatisch
in den Einstellmodus für die Radgröße (Radumfang).

5.3 PROGRAMMIERUNG DER RADGRÖSSE
Nachdem Sie die Maßeinheit gewählt haben -

m oder km - und die SET-Taste zur Bestätigung gedrückt haben, wechselt der

Computer automatisch zum Eingabemodus für die Radgröße. Die Werkseinstellung ist 2155 mm, bzw. 84.84 inch.
WICHTIG: Bei Voreinstellung von

km müssen Sie die Radgröße in Millimeter eingeben. Bei Voreinstellung von m müssen Sie

die Radgröße in Inch eingeben.
STEP 1

Stellen Sie mit der MODE-Taste die blinkende Ziffer ein.

STEP 2

Bestätigen Sie Ihre Einstellung mit der SET-Taste

==> die nächste Ziffer blinkt.

STEP 3

Wiederholen Sie diesen Einstellvorgang bis alle Ziffern richtig eingestellt sind.

STEP 4

Drücken Sie die SET-Taste für etwa 3 Sekunden, um den Einstellvorgang zu beenden und zur Anzeige TRP
zurückzukehren.

5.4 UHRZEIT EINSTELLEN
Der VDO A4+ zeigt die Uhrzeit im 24 h und im 12 h AM/PM-Format an.
STEP 1

Drücken Sie im CLK Modus die SET-Taste für 3 Sekunden. Ihr Computer wechselt nun automatisch
in den Eingabemodus für die Uhrzeit.

STEP 2

Wählen Sie mit der MODE-Taste 24H oder 12H-Modus. Bestätigen Sie mit der SET-Taste.

Im 12 H-Modus blinkt CLK AM oder CLK PM im Display. Die Stunden blinken.

STEP 3

Stellen Sie mit der MODE-Taste die blinkenden Stunden ein.

Bestätigen Sie Ihre Einstellung mit der SET-Taste

==> Minutenwert blinkt.

STEP 4

Stellen Sie mit der MODE-Taste die blinkenden Minuten ein. (Taste halten zum Schnelldurchlauf).

STEP 5

Drücken Sie die SET-Taste für etwa 3 Sekunden, um den Einstellvorgang zu beenden und zur Anzeige CLK
zurückzukehren.

5.5 PROGRAMMIERUNG DES GESAMTSTRECKENZÄHLERS TOT
Der Gesamtstreckenzähler kann programmiert werden, um z.B. nach einem Batteriewechsel gelöschte Werte wiederherzustellen
oder Werte von einem älteren Computer auf den A4+ zu übertragen.
STEP 1

Drücken Sie im TOT Modus die SET-Taste für 3 Sekunden.

STEP 2

Stellen Sie mit der MODE-Taste die blinkende Ziffer ein.

Bestätigen Sie Ihre Einstellung mit der SET-Taste

==> die nächste Ziffer blinkt.

STEP 3

Wiederholen Sie diesen Einstellvorgang bis alle Ziffern richtig eingestellt sind.

STEP 4

Drücken Sie die SET-Taste für etwa 3 Sekunden, um den Einstellvorgang zu beenden und zur Anzeige TOT
zurückzukehren.

6. Installation/Montage
6.1 INSTALLATION VON MAGNET UND SENDER
Bitte unbedingt bei der Installation beachten:
Die Entfernung zwischen Sender und Magnet sollte 1 bis 5 mm betragen.
Die Entfernung zwischen Sender und Computer soll 65 cm (26 inch) nicht überschreiten.
Hinweis: Bei Felgenbremsen den Sender nicht direkt unter der Bremse montieren.
STEP 1

Sender mit Kabelbinder an der Gabel vorfixieren (noch nicht festziehen). Montage links oder rechts ist möglich.
Bei rechtsseitiger Montage zeigt der Batteriedeckel des Senders nach unten, weil der Pfeil des Senders in
Fahrtrichtung nach vorn zeigen muss.

STEP 2

Speichenmagnet an der Speiche leicht vorfixieren, aber noch nicht endgültig fixieren.

STEP 3

Speichenmagnet an der Markierung des Senders mit etwa 1-5 mm Abstand ausrichten.

STEP 4

Kabelbinder am Sender festziehen. Überstehende Kabelbinder-Teile entfernen.

STEP 5

Magnet endgültig fixieren/zudrücken.

6.2 EINRICHTUNG/MONTAGE DER UNIVERSALHALTERUNG
STEP 1

Entscheiden Sie zunächst, ob Sie die Halterung am Lenker oder am Vorbau verwenden wollen.

STEP 2

Lösen Sie falls notwendig die beiden Schrauben in der Halterung und richten Sie die Montageplatte

entsprechend für die Lenker-, bzw. Vorbau-Montage aus.

STEP 3

Verbinden Sie Halterung und Montageplatte wieder fest mit den beiden Schrauben (nicht überdrehen).

STEP 4

Befestigen Sie die Halterung mit den Kabelbindern an Vorbau oder Lenker. Entfernen Sie den überstehenden Rest
der Kabelbinder mit einer Zange.

6.3 EINSETZEN DES COMPUTERS IN DIE TWIST-CLICK-HALTERUNG
Setzen Sie den Computer etwa 45 Grad nach links gedreht (10-Uhr Position) in die Lenkerhalterung ein und drehen Sie nach
rechts bis zum „Click“ (12-Uhr-Position). Achten Sie darauf, dass der Computer nicht verkantet ist und flach in der gesamten
Halterung eingerastet ist. Um den Computer aus der Lenkerhalterung zu entnehmen, drehen Sie ihn bitte nach links, bis Sie ihn
nach oben entnehmen können.

7. Funktionstest
Nach der Installation testen Sie bitte Ihren A4+ auf seine Funktion:
Funktionstest nur möglich, wenn der Computer in der Lenkerhalterung sitzt. Heben Sie das Vorderrad an und drehen Sie es.
Zeigt der Computer nicht innerhalb von 2-4 Sekunden eine Geschwindigkeit an, prüfen Sie zunächst, ob der Abstand zwischen
Sensor/Sender und Magnet nicht größer als 5 mm ist. Korrigieren Sie den Abstand und testen Sie erneut.
Prüfen Sie anschließend den Abstand zwischen Sender und Computer. Dieser sollte nicht größer als 65 cm (26 inch) sein.
Bei einem größeren Abstand müssen Sie den Sender an der Gabel weiter oben montieren, um den Abstand zum Computer zu
verringern.

8. Garantiebedingungen
VDO Cycle Parts gewährt für Ihren VDO-Computer eine Garantie von 3 Jahren ab Kaufdatum. Die Garantie erstreckt sich auf
Material- und Verarbeitungsfehler am Computer selbst, am Sensor/Sender und an der Lenkerhalterung. Kabel und Batterien sowie
Montagematerialien sind von der Garantie ausgeschlossen. Die Garantie ist nur dann gültig, wenn die betroffenen Teile nicht
geöffnet wurden (Ausnahme: Batteriefach des Computers), keine Gewalt angewendet wurde und keine mutwillige Beschädigung
vorliegt.

Bitte bewahren Sie den Kaufbeleg sorgfältig auf, da er im Reklamationsfall vorgelegt werden muss. Bei einer berechtigten
Reklamation erhalten Sie von uns ein vergleichbares Austauschgerät. Ein Anspruch auf Ersatz des identischen Modells besteht
nicht, wenn durch Modellwechsel die Produktion des reklamierten Modells eingestellt wurde. Bitte wenden Sie sich mit allen
Reklamationen und Garantieansprüchen an Ihren Fachhändler, bei dem Sie das Gerät gekauft haben. Oder senden Sie Ihre
Reklamation direkt an Cycle Parts GmbH, Le Quartier Hornbach 13, D- 67433 Neustadt/Weinstr.

Congratulations on your purchase of a VDO Cycle Computer. To enjoy the full potential of your computer and benefit from all the
technical features, we recommend you thoroughly study this manual. You will find crucial hints for its operation as well as many
more tips.
We wish you many enjoyable rides and trips on your bike with your VDO cycle computer.
Please check the packaging before starting the installation to ensure the contents are complete.

1. Button Function
RIGHT BUTTON (

MODE-Button)

In Cycling Mode: Use this button to progress through the TOT,

TRP,

CLK

screens.

In SET-Mode: Use this key to adjust values within the Set-up screen
LEFT BUTTON (

SET-Button)

Use this button to access the set-up screens for Wheelsize, Clock and Odometer.

In SET-Mode: Selection of digit to be changed

2. Computer Functions
ACTUAL SPEED (

KMH/MPH)

Actual Speed is permanently shown on the display, up to 120 KMH (75 MPH) with
an accuracy of 0.1 digits.

TRIP DISTANCE (

TRP)

Shows Trip Distance of actual ride, up to 999.99 KM or M. At overflow of 999.99
counting re-starts at 000.00.

CLOCK (

CLK)

Shows actual time in 12 H / 24 H-format.

TOTAL DISTANCE ODOMETER (

TOT)

Shows accumulated Total Trip Distance data of all individual trips. Counts up to

99999 KM or M. Value is re-settable after change of battery.

SLEEP MODE

To prolong battery life, the A4+ will automatically enter „sleep“ mode after

3 minutes of non-use. Only the Clock is shown.

The wireless receiver of A4+

will stay ON for another 2 hours to allow Auto-Start/Stop. In case of non-use,

the receiver will be switched OFF. This is indicated by a flashing “CLK”. To

re-start the computer press any button. In continued non-use, the receiver is

switched OFF latest at midnight 24:00.

The computer will restart when any button is pressed.

3. Reset of computer
3.1 RESET OF ACTUAL TRIP DATA
To Reset actual trip data TRP press SET plus MODE-button simultaneously for 3 sec.
3.2 RESET OF COMPUTER TO FACTORY-SETTINGS
To Reset the computer to default factory settings, use a pencil and press the “AC”-button on underside of the computer.
ATTENTION: This action will delete all your data and all your settings for wheelsize, clock, odometer will be reset to
factory settings.

4. Mounting and Settings
4.1 INSTALLATION OF BATTERY IN COMPUTER
To prolong battery life, the A4+ will come without the battery being installed. The VDO A4+ needs a battery 3V-Type CR 2032.
Batteries are available at your dealer (VDO-part no.#1013). Battery life time is around 12 months at normal use.
Watch Out: In case of malfunction please check the battery first before you start a warranty complaint.

STEP 1

Remove the battery door with a suitable coin

STEP 2

Place the battery in the battery chamber. PLUS+-pole visible. Be careful when installing the battery
not to damage the battery contact.

STEP 3

3 Reinstall the battery cap, making sure that the rubber O-ring does not get pinched or distorted.

WATCH OUT: If O-ring gets pinched or distorted, this will compromise the unit’s watertight seal.

STEP 4

Tighten the battery door firmly with a suitable coin.

IMPORTANT: During battery replacement all data and all settings will be stored for around 20 seconds.

To save your data, replace the battery within that 20 seconds, otherwise all settings for Wheelsize, Clock and
Odometer need to be re-done.

Tip: Buy replacement battery in time. To save your data and settings replace the battery in time. Before replacing the battery we
recommend to take note of your Wheelsize Setting and Odometer-data.

Watch Out: If for some reason the screen is blank or shows an irregular display after a battery change, press the AC button on
the backside of the computer. This action will delete all data and all settings and requires new settings of Wheelsize, Clock and
Odometer.

4.2 INSTALLATION OF BATTERY IN TRANSMITTER
The VDO A4+ transmitter needs a battery 12V-Type LR 23. Batteries are available at your dealer (VDO-part no.#1014).
Battery life time is around 12 months at normal use.

STEP 1

Remove the battery door of transmitter with a suitable coin.

STEP 2

Place the battery in the battery chamber. PLUS+-pole visible.

Be careful when installing the battery not to damage the battery contact.

STEP 3

Reinstall the battery cap. Watch Out: If O-ring gets pinched or distorted this will
compromise the unit’s watertight seal.

STEP 4

Tighten the battery door firmly with a suitable coin.

5. Programming of computer
To show Speed and calculate Trip Distance and the other data, your VDO A4+ needs the precise wheelsize = wheel circumference
(in mm or inch) of your bike.

5.1 HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR WHEELSIZE:
The wheelsize setting can be done with an accuracy of 1 mm or 0.1 inch.
The table below shows the most common tire sizes and the related wheelsize-data in mm and inch.
This data not necessarily corresponds with the correct data of your bike.

If your Tyre Size is not shown in the Table, you can find your correct wheelsize as explained below:
STEP 1

Stand your bicycle upright. With your tyre inflated to its proper pressure, rotate your front wheel so that the valve
is located at the bottom (6 o’clock position). Make a mark on the floor to indicate the valve location.

STEP 2

Roll the bicycle forward in a straight line for one complete wheel revolution, until the valve is again at the bottom.
Make a mark on the floor to indicate this valve location.

STEP 3

Measure the distance between the marks in millimetres or inches (1 inch = 25.4mm). This value is your wheel
size = wheel circumference.

5.2 SELECTION OF KMH OR MPH-READING
The VDO A4+ can show speed and all related data either in

km or m. You can switch at any time from km to m-reading

and vice versa. All data TRP, TOT will automatically be re-calculated.
STEP 1

Get TRP in display, press and hold SET-button for 3 sec.

STEP 2

km or m are flashing. Use MODE-button to select km or m-reading.

STEP 3

Press SET-button to confirm above selection. The A4+ will now show the set-mode for the
wheelsize = wheel circumference.

5.3 PROGRAMMING THE WHEELSIZE
After pressing SET-button to confirm

km or m selection, the A4+ will now show the set-mode for the

wheelsize = wheel circumference.
Factory settings for wheelsize are 2155 mm for

km-reading and 84,84 inch for m-reading.

Attention: For

km-reading the wheelsize needs to be set in mm, for m-reading the wheelsize needs to be set in inches.

STEP 1

Change the flashing wheelsize-digit to requested value by pressing the MODE-button.

STEP 2

Press SET-button to confirm this setting and move to next digit.

STEP 3

Repeat Step 1 and Step 2 until all digits have been set to your wheelsize.

STEP 4

Press and Hold SET-button for 3 sec. to finish Wheelsize-Setting and return to TRP-display.

5.4 CLOCK SETTING
Your VDO A4+ shows actual time in 24:00 (hh:mm) or 12h AM/PM format.
STEP 1

Get CLK into display. Press and Hold SET-button for 3 sec. The Clock SET-Mode will be shown in

display.
STEP 2

Use MODE-button to select 24H or 12H-Mode. Confirm with SET-button.

In 12-H-Mode CLK AM or CLK PM will be shown in Display. Hours start to flash and are ready for setting.

STEP 3

Use the MODE-button to change the flashing hour-digits. Hold MODE-button for fast setting.

Confirm your settings by pressing the SET-button. This confirmation will also change to Minute-setting.

STEP 4

Use the MODE-button to change the flashing Minute- digits. Hold MODE-button for fast setting.

STEP 5

Press and hold SET-button for 3 sec. to finish Clock-Setting and return to CLK-display.

5.5 PROGRAMMING OF ODOMETER
The total distance counter TOT can be programmed anytime, for example after a change of battery or to enter the TOT data of your
old computer into your new A4+.
STEP 1

Get TOT into display, press and Hold SET-button for 3 sec. The TOT-Set-Mode will be shown in

display.
STEP 2

Press MODE-button to change the flashing digit to requested value.

Confirm this setting by pressing the SET-button and simultaneously change to next digit (flashing).

STEP 3

Repeat STEP 1 and STEP 2 until all digits have been set to requested value.

STEP 4

Press and Hold SET-button for 3 sec. to finish TOT-setting and return to TOT-display.

6. Mounting
6.1 MOUNTING OF MAGNET AND TRANSMITTER
Important! Watch Out when mounting!
The distance between Transmitter and magnet should be 1 to 5 mm.
The distance between Transmitter and Computer should not be larger than 65 cm (26”).
Tip: With Linear Pull/Cantilever-Brakes do not mount the transmitter too close to the brakes.
Distance to the brake should be 10 cm (4”).
STEP 1

Loosely mount Transmitter on the front fork using the zip ties, so that you can still make final adjustments.
Mounting on right or left side of the fork is possible.On the right-side mounting, the battery door of the transmitter
will point downwards, so that the Sensor-marking on the transmitter will point towards the magnet in the spokes.

STEP 2

Loosely mount the magnet at the spoke, so that you still can do final adjustments.
The magnet must point towards the sensor-marking on the Transmitter.

STEP 3

Make final adjustments of the magnet towards the Sensor-marking, ensure the distance between the magnet and

the sensor marking is 1 to 5 mm. To get that distance also adjust the Transmitter towards the magnet.

STEP 4

To finally fix the Transmitter. Pull zip-ties tight. Cut off remaining zip-tie-parts.

STEP 5

To finally fix the magnet. Press the magnet-shell until the magnet is securely fixed at the spoke.

6.2 MOUNTING OF BRACKET
STEP 1

Decide if you want to mount the bracket on handlebar or on stem.

STEP 2

Depending on your decision you may need to turn the foot of the bracket by 90 °.

Remove the 2 screws, turn the foot of the bracket to adjust for either handlebar or stem-mounting.

STEP 3

Fix the foot of the bracket with the 2 screws. Do not overstress the screws.

STEP 4

Fix the bracket to either the handlebar or the stem by using 2 zip-ties.

Cut off the remaining zip-tie-parts.

6.3 HEAD UNIT INSTALLATION
Place the computer into the bracket ( 10-o’clock-position) and turn clockwise until you feel a click and have reached 12 o’clock
position.
Watch Out: Make sure the computer is properly placed into the bracket and is turned clockwise until you feel the “Click”.
To remove the computer off the bracket, twist the head counter-clockwise and then lift it out of the bracket.

7. Test of Function
After installation, please check function of your VDO A4+.
Function test only possible if Computer is mounted into mount. Lift the front wheel of your bike. Turn the front wheel.
Within 2 to 4 seconds a speed reading should be in display of your VDO A4+. Otherwise re-check the magnet position and the
distance of the magnet towards the Sensor-marking. Re-adjust the position and distance and check again.Re-check the distance
between Transmitter and Computer. This distance should be no larger than 65 cm (26”). Should the distance be larger, you need to
move the transmitter upwards on the fork and re-mount in a closer position towards the Computer.

8. Warranty disclaimer
VDO Cycle Parts warrants your VDO-Computer for 3 years from date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in material and
workmanship. Defects on cables, senders, transmitters and mounting materials resulting from normal wear and tear, improper
care, accidents, abuse or alteration are not covered by our warranty. Opening the computer housing (except for the battery door)
is considered abuse, thus not covered by our 3 year warranty.

Please keep your sales receipt to prove that your computer is covered under the warranty in case of legitimate complaints.

In case of legitimate complaints you are entitled to have your computer either repaired or replaced with a comparable model.
Due to possible model changes, your model might have been discontinued.

La vitesse actuelle s’affiche en permanence sur l’écran, jusqu’à 120 km/h

(75 MPH) avec une précision de 1 chiffre après la virgule.

DISTANCE PARCOURUE (

TRP)

Affiche la distance parcourue du trajet en cours, jusqu’à 999,99 KM ou M.
Au-delà de 999,99, le compteur redémarre à 000,00.

HORLOGE (

CLK)

Affiche l’heure en mode 12 H / 24 H.

DISTANCE TOTALE ODOMETRE (

TOT)

Affiche le total cumulé de tous les trajets individuels parcourus. Compte jusqu’à
99999 km ou M. La valeur peut être remise à zéro lors du remplacement de la
pile.

MODE VEILLE

Pour prolonger la durée de vie de la pile, l’A4+ passe automatiquement en mode

“veille” après 3 minutes d’inactivité. Seule l’heure est affi chée.

Le récepteur

sans fil de l’A4+ continue à fonctionner pendant 2 heures afi n de permettre la

mise en marche/l’arrêt automatique. En cas de non-utilisation, le récepteur

s’éteint. Le symbole “CLK” clignote alors sur l’écran. Pour allumer de nouveau

l’ordinateur, appuyez sur n’importe quelle touche. En cas d’inactivité prolongée,

le récepteur s’éteint au plus tard à minuit (24:00).

Avant le démarrage poussez sur MODE.

3. Remise a zero de l`ordinateur
3.1 REMISE A ZERO DES DONNEES ACTUELLES
Appuyez simultanément sur les touches SET et MODE pendant 3 sec. pour remettre à zéro les données actuelles TRP.
3.2 REMISE A ZERO DE L’ORDINATEUR SUR LES REGLAGES PAR DEFAUT
Pour revenir aux réglages par défaut (y compris CLK, TOT et dimension de la roue), appuyez sur la touche “AC” située en bas de
l’ordinateur à l’aide d’un crayon.
ATTENTION: Cette action effacera toutes vos données et tous vos réglages concernant la dimension de la roue, l’horloge et
l’odomètre seront remis à zéro.

4. Montage et mise en service
4.1 INSTALLER LA PILE DANS L’ORDINATEUR
Pour prolonger la durée de vie de la pile, l’A4+ est fourni sans pile. L’A4+ VDO fonctionne avec une pile 3V de type CR 2032.
Les piles sont disponibles chez votre revendeur (pièce VDO n° 1013).
La durée de vie de la pile avoisine les 12 mois dans le cas d’une utilisation normale.
Astuce: En cas de dysfonctionnement, vérifiez d’abord la pile avant d’invoquer la garantie.

ETAPE 1

Retirez le couvercle du compartiment à pile à l’aide d’une pièce de monnaie appropriée

(de 2 euros).

ETAPE 2

Placez la pile dans le compartiment à pile, le pôle + vers le haut.
Veillez à ne pas endommager les contacts lors du placement de la pile.

ETAPE 3

Replacez délicatement le couvercle du compartiment en veillant à ne pas coincer ni déformer l’O-ring.

ATTENTION: Si l’O-ring est coincé ou déformé, l’étanchéité du boîtier est compromise.

ETAPE 4

Refermez convenablement le couvercle du compartiment à l’aide de la pièce de monnaie.

IMPORTANT: Lors du remplacement de la pile, toutes les données et tous les réglages sont mémorisés pendant
environ 20 secondes.

Pour les conserver, effectuez le remplacement de la pile dans ce délai sinon vous devrez de nouveau paramétrer
les réglages de la dimension de la roue, de l’horloge et de l’odomètre.

Astuce : Achetez une pile de rechange en temps utile. Pour sauvegarder vos données et réglages, remplacez la pile à temps.
Avant d’effectuer le remplacement, nous vous conseillons de noter les données concernant la dimension de la roue et l’odomètre.

Attention : Si l’écran est blanc ou anormal après le remplacement de la pile, appuyez sur la touche AC au dos de l’ordinateur.
Toutes les données seront alors effacées et vous devrez de nouveau paramétrer la dimension de la roue, l’horloge et l’odomètre.

4.2 INSTALLER LA PILE DANS LE TRANSMETTEUR
Le transmetteur de l’A4+ VDO fonctionne avec une pile 12V de type LR 23. Ces piles sont disponibles chez votre revendeur
(pièce VDO n° 1014). La durée de vie de la pile avoisine les 12 mois dans le cas d’une utilisation normale.

ETAPE 1

Retirez le couvercle du compartiment à pile du transmetteur à l’aide d’une pièce de monnaie

appropriée.
ETAPE 2

Placez la pile dans le compartiment à pile, le pôle + vers le haut.

Veillez à ne pas endommager les contacts lors du placement de la pile.

ETAPE 3

Replacez délicatement le couvercle du compartiment. ATTENTION: Si l’O-ring est coincé ou déformé,
l’étanchéité du boîtier est compromise.

ETAPE 4

Refermez convenablement le couvercle du compartiment à l’aide de la pièce de monnaie.

5. Programmer l`ordinateur

Pour afficher la vitesse et calculer la distance parcourue, votre A4+ VDO doit connaître la dimension précise
de la roue = la circonférence de la roue (en mm ou en pouces) de votre vélo.

5.1 DETERMINER LA DIMENSION DE LA ROUE:
Le réglage de la dimension de la roue s’effectue avec une précision de 1 mm ou 0,1 pouce.
Le tableau ci-dessous reprend les dimensions de pneu les plus courantes et les dimensions de roue correspondantes en mm et
en pouces.
Ces données ne correspondent pas nécessairement à celles de votre vélo.

Si la taille de vos pneus ne figure pas dans le tableau, vous pouvez trouver la dimension exacte de votre roue de la manière
suivante:
ETAPE 1

Dressez votre vélo à la verticale. Le pneu gonflé à la pression adéquate, faites tourner la roue avant de manière
à ce que la valve se trouve en bas (à 6 heures). Faites un trait sur le sol pour repérer la position de la valve.

ETAPE 2

Avancez le vélo vers l’avant en ligne droite pendant un tour de roue complet, jusqu’à ce que la valve se trouve
de nouveau en bas. Faites un trait sur le sol pour indiquer cette position.

ETAPE 3

Mesurez la distance entre ces 2 traits en millimètres ou en pouces (1 pouce = 25,4 mm).
Ce chiffre correspond à la taille de votre roue = sa circonférence.

5.2 LECTURE EN

km OU m

L’A4+ VDO peut afficher la vitesse et la distance parcourue soit en

km soit en m.

Vous pouvez passez d’un type d’affichage à l’autre à n’importe quel moment. Toutes les données TRP, TOT seront
automatiquement recalculées.
ETAPE 1

Affichez ‘TRP’, maintenez la touche SET enfoncée pendant 3 sec.

ETAPE 2

km ou m clignote dans le coin supérieur droit.

Utilisez la touche MODE pour sélectionner l’affichage désiré (

km ou m).

ETAPE 3

Appuyez sur la touche SET pour confirmer la sélection. L’A4+ affiche maintenant le mode réglage
de la dimension de la roue = circonférence de la roue.

5.3 PROGRAMMER LA DIMENSION DE LA ROUE
Après vous ayez appuyé sur la touche SET pour confirmer la sélection

km ou m, l’A4+ affiche le mode réglage de la dimension

de la roue (circonférence de la roue). Le réglage par défaut correspond à 2155 mm pour l’affichage en

km et à 84,84 inch pouces

pour l’affichage en

m. Attention: Pour l’affichage en km, la dimension doit être exprimée en mm ; pour l’affichage m, elle doit

l’être en pouces.
ETAPE 1

Modifiez le chiffre clignotant indiquant la dimension de la roue en appuyant sur la touche MODE.

ETAPE 2

Appuyez sur la touche SET pour confirmer ce réglage et passer au chiffre clignotant suivant.

ETAPE 3

Répétez les étapes 1 et 2 jusqu’à ce que tous les chiffres aient été adaptés à la dimension de votre roue.

ETAPE 4

Maintenez la touche SET enfoncée pendant 3 sec. pour valider le réglage de la dimension de la roue et revenir

à l’écran TRP.

5.4 REGLER L’HORLOGE
Votre A4+ VDO affiche l’heure au format 24:00 et au format 12:00 AM/PM.
ETAPE 1

Affichez le mode CLK. Maintenez la touche SET enfoncée pendant 3 sec.

Le mode réglage de l’horloge apparaît à l’écran.

ETAPE 2

Au moyen de la touche MODE, sélectionnez le mode 24:00 ou 12:00. Confirmez avec la touche SET.

CLK AM ou CLK PM clignote à l‘écran en mode 12:00. Les heures clignotent.

ETAPE 3

Utilisez la touche MODE pour modifier les chiffres clignotants concernant les heures.
Maintenez la touche MODE enfoncée pour un réglage rapide. Confirmez votre réglage en appuyant sur la touche
SET, ce qui modifiera aussi le réglage des minutes.

ETAPE 4

Utilisez la touche MODE pour modifier les chiffres clignotants concernant les minutes. Maintenez la touche MODE
enfoncée pour un réglage rapide.

ETAPE 5

Maintenez la touche SET enfoncée pendant 3 sec. pour valider le réglage de l’horloge et revenir à l’écran CLK.

5.5 PROGRAMMER L’ODOMETRE
Vous pouvez programmer votre compteur kilométrique TOT à n’importe quel moment, par exemple après le remplacement de la
pile ou pour saisir les données TOT de votre ancien ordinateur dans votre nouvel A4+.
ETAPE 1

Affichez le mode TOT, appuyez sur la touche SET pendant 3 sec. Le mode TOT-Set apparaît

alors à l’écran.

ETAPE 2

Appuyez sur la touche MODE pour amener le chiffre clignotant sur la valeur souhaitée.
Confirmez le réglage en appuyant sur la touche SET tout en modifiant simultanément le chiffre suivant
(qui clignote).

ETAPE 3

Répétez les étapes 1 et 2 jusqu’à ce que tous les chiffres aient la valeur souhaitée.

ETAPE 4

Appuyez sur la touche SET pendant 3 sec. pour sauvegarder le réglage TOT et revenir à l’écran TOT.

6. Installation/Montage
6.1 MONTER L’AIMANT ET LE TRANSMETTEUR
Important! A respecter lors du montage:
La distance entre le transmetteur et l’aimant doit être comprise entre 1 et 5 mm.
La distance entre le transmetteur et l’ordinateur ne doit pas dépasser 65 mm (26”).
Astuce : Si votre vélo possède des freins cantilever, ne montez pas le transmetteur trop près des freins.
Respectez une distance de 10 cm (4”).
ETAPE 1

Montez lâchement le transmetteur sur l’avant de la fourche à l’aide des attaches mono-usage afin de pouvoir
effectuer les derniers ajustements. Le montage peut se faire à droite ou à gauche de la fourche. En cas de
montage à droite, le couvercle du compartiment à pile sera orienté vers le bas, tandis que la flèche du
transmetteur sera orientée vers l’avant, dans le sens de marche.

ETAPE 2

Montez lâchement l’aimant sur le rayon afin de pouvoir effectuer les derniers ajustements.

ETAPE 3

Ajustez une dernière fois la position de l’aimant par rapport à la flèche du transmetteur et assurez-vous que la
distance entre l’aimant et le repère se situe entre 1 à 5 mm. Vous pouvez aussi rapprocher le transmetteur vers
l’aimant si nécessaire.

ETAPE 4

Fixez définitivement le transmetteur en serrant les attaches mono-usage. Coupez les morceaux qui dépassent.

ETAPE 5

Fixez définitivement l’aimant. Appuyez sur la coque de l’aimant jusqu’à ce que celui-ci soit bien fixé sur le rayon.

6.2 MONTER LE SUPPORT
ETAPE 1

Le support peut être monté sur le guidon ou sur la potence.

ETAPE 2

En fonction de l’emplacement choisi, vous devrez peut-être faire pivoter le pied du support de 90°.

Retirez les 2 vis, tournez le pied du support pour l’ajuster soit sur le guidon, soit sur la potence.

ETAPE 3

Fixez le pied du support à l’aide des 2 vis sans les serrer trop fort.

ETAPE 4

Fixez le support soit sur le guidon, soit sur la potence à l’aide des attaches mono-usage.

Coupez les parties excédentaires (avec une pince).

6.3 INSTALLER L’UNITE PRINCIPALE
Placez l’ordinateur sur le support (position de 10 h) et tournez dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à encliquetage en
position de 12 h. Attention: Veillez à ce que l’ordinateur soit correctement placé sur le support et parfaitement emboîté.
Pour retirer l’ordinateur de son support, tournez-le dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre puis sortez-le du support.

7. Test de fonctionnement
Après l’installation, vérifiez les fonctions de votre A4+ VDO.
Soulevez la roue avant de votre vélo et faites-la tourner. Dans les 2 à 4 secondes qui suivent, la vitesse doit s’afficher sur
l’écran de votre A4+ VDO. Sinon, revérifiez la position de l’aimant et la distance qui le sépare du capteur. Corrigez la position
et la distance et vérifiez de nouveau. Revérifiez la distance entre le transmetteur et l’ordinateur. Elle ne doit pas excéder 65 cm
(26”). Si c’est le cas, vous devez déplacer le transmetteur vers la fourche et le rapprocher de l’ordinateur. Nous vous souhaitons
de nombreuses et agréables balades à vélo avec votre ordinateur A4+ VDO. En cas de problèmes techniques, contactez votre
revendeur local.

8. Limitation de la garantie
VDO Cycle Parts garantit votre ordinateur VDO pendant 3 ans à partir de la date d’achat. Cette garantie couvre les défauts de
pièces et de main-d’œuvre. Notre garantie ne couvre pas les câbles, émetteurs, transmetteurs et supports défectueux suite à une
usure normale, une mauvaise utilisation, un accident, un abus ou une modification. L’ouverture du boîtier d’ordinateur (excepté le
compartiment à pile) est considérée comme un abus et rend la garantie de 3 ans caduque.

Veuillez conserver votre ticket de caisse afin de prouver que votre ordinateur est couvert par la garantie en cas de plainte légitime.
En cas de plainte légitime, nous réparons votre ordinateur ou le remplaçons par un modèle similaire. Il se peut que votre modèle
ne soit plus fabriqué en raison des changements de modèle possible.

MODALITA’ SLEEP

Per prolungare la durata della batteria, A4+ attiverà automaticamente la modalità

“sleep” dopo 3 minuti di non utilizzo. Solo l’orologio sarà visualizzato.

Il ricevitore

senza filo di A4+ rimarrà acceso per altre 2 ore per permettere Auto-Start/Stop.

In caso di non utilizzo, il ricevitore si spegnerà. Questo sarà indicato dal “CLK”

lampeggiante. Per riattivare il computer, premere qualsiasi tasto. In caso di non

utilizzo prolungato, il ricevitore si spegnerà alle ore 24.00 al più tardi.

Il computer ripartirà quando un tasto qualsiasi verrà premuto.

3. Azzeramento del computer
3.1 AZZERAMENTO DEI DATI DI PERCORSO ATTUALE
Per azzerare i dati TRP del percorso attuale, premere i tasti SET e MODE contemporaneamente per 3 secondi.
3.2 AZZERAMENTO COMPUTER DA IMPOSTAZIONI PREDEFINITE
Per azzerare il computer dalle impostazioni predefinite, utilizzare una matita e premere il tasto “AC” sotto il computer.
ATTENZIONE: Questa operazione azzererà tutti i vostri dati e le vostre impostazioni per dimensione ruota, orologio,
contachilometri.

4. Montaggio ed installazione
4.1 INSTALLAZIONE DELLA BATTERIA NEL COMPUTER
Per prolungare la durata della batteria, A4+ sarà sprovvisto di batteria installata. I computers VDO A4+ necessitano di una batteria
Tipo 3V CR 2032. Le batterie sono disponibili presso i rivenditori autorizzati (VDO nr. 1013). La durata di una batteria è di circa
12 mesi con un normale utilizzo.
Attenzione: In caso di malfunzionamento del computer, verificate la batteria prima di richiedere la sostituzione in garanzia.

PUNTO 1

Rimuovere il coperchio della batteria con una moneta

PUNTO 2

Inserire la batteria nell’alloggiamento del computer, polo positivo in su.

Fate attenzione a non danneggiare i contatti della batteria durante l’installazione.

PUNTO 3

Rimettere il coperchio della batteria, assicurandosi che la rondella di gomma non venga danneggiata.

ATTENZIONE: Qualora la rondella di gomma venisse danneggiata, questo comprometterebbe la garanzia di tenuta
d’acqua.

PUNTO 4

Fissare il coperchio della batteria con una moneta

IMPORTANTE: Durante la sostituzione della batteria, tutti i dati e le impostazioni verranno immagazzinati per soli
20 secondi.

Per salvare questi dati, occorre sostituire la batteria entro 20 secondi, altrimenti tutte le impostazioni relative
a Dimensione Ruota, Orologio e Contachilometri dovranno essere rifatte.

Suggerimento: Comprate la batteria sostituitiva per tempo. Per salvare i vostri dati e le vostre impostazioni sostituite la batteria per
tempo. Prima di effettuare la sostituzione consigliamo di annotare le impostazioni di Dimensione Ruota e i dati del Contachilometri.

Attenzione: Se per qualsiasi ragione lo schermo appare vuoto o mostra qualcosa di irregolare dopo il cambio della batteria,
premete il tasto AC sotto il computer. Questa operazione azzererà tutti i dati e le impostazioni e richiederà quindi nuove
impostazioni per Dimensione Ruota, Orologio e Contachilometri.

4.2 INSTALLAZIONE DELLA BATTERIA NEL TRASMETTITORE
I trasmettitori VDO A4+ necessitano di una batteria Tipo 12V LR 23. Le batterie sono disponibili presso i rivenditori autorizzati
(VDO nr. 1014). La durata di una batteria è di circa 12 mesi con un normale utilizzo.

PUNTO 1

Rimuovere il coperchio della batteria del trasmettitore con una moneta.

PUNTO 2

Inserire la batteria nell’alloggiamento, polo positivo in su.

Fate attenzione a non danneggiare i contatti della batteria durante l’installazione.

PUNTO 3

Rimettere il coperchio della batteria. ATTENZIONE: Qualora la rondella di gomma venisse danneggiata,
questo comprometterebbe la garanzia di tenuta d’acqua.

PUNTO 4

Fissare il coperchio della batteria con una moneta.

5. Programmazione del computer
Per visualizzare la velocità e calcolare la distanza percorsa e tutti gli altri valori, il vostro computer VDO A4+ necessita della
dimensione ruota precisa = circonferenza ruota (in mm o pollici) della vostra bici.

5.1 COME CALCOLARE LA DIMENSIONE RUOTA:
L’impostazione della dimensione ruota può essere fatta con una precisione di 1 mm o 0.1 inch. La tabella sotto mostra
le dimensioni delle ruote più comuni e i relativi dati di dimensione ruota in mm o inch. Questi dati non corrispondono
necessariamente ai dati corretti della vostra bici.

Se la vostra dimensione ruota non è contenuta nella Tabella, potrete calcolare la dimensione ruota corretta come spiegato qui
sotto:
PUNTO 1

Mettete la vostra bici in piedi. Con la gomma gonfiata alla pressione corretta, ruotate la ruota anteriore in modo
che la valvola sia posizionata nel punto più basso (posizione ore 6).
Segnate sul pavimento il punto corrispondente alla posizione della valvola.

PUNTO 2

Spostate la bici in avanti in linea retta di un giro completo, finchè la valvola si troverà di nuovo nel punto più
basso. Segnate sul pavimento il punto corrispondente alla posizione della valvola.

PUNTO 3

Misurate la distanza tra i due segni sul pavimento, in millimetri o pollici (1 pollice = 25.4 mm).
Questo valore è la vostra dimensione ruota = circonferenza ruota.

5.2 SELEZIONE DI VISUALIZZAZIONE IN

km o m

Il vostro computer VDO A4+ può visualizzare la velocità e tutti i dati relativi sia in

km sia in m. Potete passare dalla

visualizzazione in

km a m e viiceversa in qualsiasi momento. Tutti i dati TRP, TOT verranno automaticamente ricalcolati.

PUNTO 1

Visualizzate TRP sul display e tenete premuto il tasto SET per 3 secondi.

PUNTO 2

km o m lampeggiano. Utilizzate il tasto MODE per selezionare la visualizzazione km o m.

PUNTO 3

Premete il tasto SET per confermare la scelta. Il computer A4+ visualizzerà ora la modalità impostazione per la
dimensione ruota = circonferenza ruota

5.3 PROGRAMMAZIONE DIMENSIONE RUOTA
Dopo aver premuto il tasto SET per confermare la scelta

km or m, il computer A4+ visualizzerà la modalità impostazione per la

dimensione ruota = circonferenza ruota. Le impostazioni predefinite per la dimensione ruota sono 2155 mm per la visualizzazione
km e 84,84 inch pollici per la visualizzazione m.
Attenzione: per la visualizzazione in

km la dimensione ruota deve essere in mm, per la visualizzazione in m la dimensione ruota

deve essere in pollici
PUNTO 1

Modificate la cifra lampeggiante della dimensione ruota con il valore richiesto,

premendo il tasto MODE.

PUNTO 2

Premete il tasto SET per confermare questo dato e procedete alla cifra successiva

PUNTO 3

Ripetete i punti 1 e 2 finchè tutte le cifre della vostra dimensione ruota saranno inserite correttamente.

PUNTO 4

Tenete premuto il tasto SET per 3 secondi per completare l’impostazione della dimensione ruota e quindi tornate
al display TRP.

5.4 IMPOSTAZIONE OROLOGIO
Il VDO A4+ mostra l‘ora nel formato 24 h e 12 h AM/PM.
PUNTO 1

Visualizzate CLK sul display.Tenete premuto il tasto SET per 3 secondi.

La modalità impostazione orologio sarà visualizzata sul display.

PUNTO 2

Con il tasto MODE, selezionate il modo 24H o 12H. Confermate con il tasto SET.

Nel modo 12 H sul display lampeggia CLK AM o CLK PM. Lampeggiano le ore.

PUNTO 3

Utilizzate il tasto MODE per modificare le cifre delle ore che lampeggiano. Tenete premuto il tasto MODE per

un’impostazione rapida. Confermate la vostra scelta premendo il tasto SET. Questa conferma modificherà anche
l’impostazione dei minuti.

PUNTO 4

Utilizzate il tasto MODE per modificare le cifre dei minuti che lampeggiano. Tenete premuto il tasto MODE per

un’impostazione rapida.

PUNTO 5

Tenete premuto il tasto SET per 3 secondi per completare l’impostazione dell’orologio e quindi tornate al display
CLK.

5.5 PROGRAMMAZIONE DEL CONTACHILOMETRI
Il contatore della distanza totale TOT può essere programmato in qualsiasi momento, per esempio dopo una sostituzione di
batteria o per inserire i dati TOT del vostro vecchio computer nel nuovo A4+.
PUNTO 1

Visualizzate TOT sul display, temete premuto il tasto SET per 3 secondi.
La modalità impostazione TOT sarà visualizzata sul display.

PUNTO 2

Premete il tasto MODE per modificare le cifre lampeggianti con il valore richiesto. Confermate la vostra scelta
premendo il tasto SET e quindi passate alla modifica della cifra lampeggiante successiva.

PUNTO 3

Ripetete i punti 1 e 2 finchè tutte le cifre saranno inserite correttamente.

PUNTO 4

Tenete premuto il tasto SET per 3 secondi per completare l’impostazione del contachilometri e quindi tornate al
display TOT.

6. Montaggio
6.1 MONTAGGIO DELLA CALAMITA E DEL TRASMETTITORE
Importante! Fate attenzione durante il montaggio!
La distanza tra Trasmettitore e Calamita dovrebbe essere tra 1 e 5 mm.
La distanza tra Trasmettitore e Computer non dovrebbe superare i 65 cm (26”).
Suggerimento: Con freni Linear Pull/Cantilever non montate il trasmettitore troppo vicino ai freni.
La distanza dal freno dovrebbe essere 10 cm (4”).
PUNTO 1

Posizionate il trasmettitore sulla forcella anteriore con i cavetti, senza fissarlo. Il montaggio è possibile sia sulla
forcella destra che sulla sinistra.Nel montaggio a destra, il coperchio della batteria del trasmettitore sarà puntato
verso il basso in modo che la tacca in corrispondenza del sensore sul trasmettitore punti verso la calamita sui
raggi.

PUNTO 2

Posizionate la calamita sul raggio, senza fissarla. La calamita dovrà essere puntata verso la tacca
del sensore sul trasmettitore.

PUNTO 3

Sistemate la calamita in direzione della tacca del sensore, assicurandovi che la distanza tra la calamita e la tacca
sia tra 1 e 5 mm. Per ottenere questa distanza sistemate il trasmettitore in direzione della calamita

PUNTO 4

Fissate infine il trasmettitore stringendo i cavetti e tagliandone le parti in eccedenza.

PUNTO 5

Fissate anche la calamita, premendone l’involucro, fino a che non sarà ben salda al raggio.

6.2 MONTAGGIO DEL SUPPORTO
PUNTO 1

Decidete se preferite montare il supporto sul manubrio o sul tubo dello sterzo.

PUNTO 2

A seconda della vostra decisione potreste aver bisogno di ruotare la base del supporto di 90°.
Togliete le 2 viti, ruotate la base del supporto per sistemarla, sia nel montaggio sul manubrio che sul tubo dello
sterzo.

PUNTO 3

Fissate la base del supporto con le 2 viti, senza stringere troppo.

PUNTO 4

Fissate il supporto al manubrio o al tubo dello sterzo utilizzando i cavetti.

Tagliate le parti dei cavetti in eccedenza.

6.3 INSTALLAZIONE COMPUTER NEL SUPPORTO
Posizionate il computer sul supporto (posizione ore 10) e ruotate in senso orario fino a sentire un click e aver raggiunto la
posizione ore 12.
Attenzione: Assicuratevi che il computer sia posizionato correttamente all’interno del supporto e sia stato ruotato in senso orario
fino al “Click”. Per togliere il computer dal supporto, ruotate il computer in senso orario e sollevatelo dal supporto.

7. Test di funzionamento
Dopo l’installazione, verificate il funzionamento del vostro VDO A4+.
Sollevate la ruota anteriore della vostra bici e ruotatela. Entro 2-4 secondi il vostro VDO A4+ dovrebbe visualizzare il valore della
velocità.
Altrimenti ricontrollate la posizione della calamita e la distanza della calamita dalla tacca sul sensore. Correggete posizione
e distanza e provate di nuovo. Ricontrollate la distanza tra il trasmettitore e il computer. Questa distanza non dovrebbe essere
superiore a 65 cm (26”). Nel caso la distanza fosse maggiore, dovrete spostare il trasmettitore verso l’alto sulla forcella
e rimontarlo più vicino al computer.
Vi auguriamo tante piacevoli corse sulla vostra bici con il vostro ciclo computer VDO A4+. In caso di problemi tecnici,
siete pregati di contattare il vostro rivenditore.

8. Garanzia
VDO Cycle Parts garantisce il vostro Computer VDO per 3 anni dalla data di acquisto. Questa garanzia copre i difetti di produzione
e di materiale. Difetti a cavi, sensori, trasmettitori e materiale di montaggio dovuti a normale usura o strappi, cura impropria,
incidenti, abusi o alterazioni non sono coperti dalla nostra garanzia. Aprire la sede del computer (eccetto il comparto batteria)
è considerato abuso, e quindi non coperto dalla nostra garanzia di 3 anni.
Per favore conservate la ricevuta di acquisto come prova della garanzia di 3 anni nel caso di reclami legittimi.

In caso di reclami legittimi avete diritto alla riparazione o sostituzione del computer con un modello comparabile.
A causa di cambi di modelli, il vostro modello potrebbe non essere più in produzione.
In caso di reclamo, per favore contattate prima il rivenditore dove avete acquistato il vostro computer VDO. Se questo non è in
