OPERATING MANUAL 951

ULTRASONIC DETECTOR

INSTALLATION

Install the two sensors, one to each upper corner of the front windscreen or rear window. The
sensors must face straight down the sides of the vehicle. This provides maximum coverage. Do not
face them diagonally inwards. Truk the clips under the windscreen surround and ensure that are
tightly fixed so that their orientation will not change. Mount them high enough in order to keep the
ultrasonic wave's path from being obstructed by objects such as high seats of headrests.
NOTE : The receiver/transmitter wires may not be shortened or lengthened, other than using the
supplied extension pieces, and always ensure that the wires are not pinched or torn during
installation! The extensions are provided so that a connection point for the sensors are under the
dash, to make replacement of the eyes easier if this is necessary. Never cut the sensor wiring!

NOTE :
- The sensors are designed to pick up any movement inside the car, and this includes the movement

of air. Always make sure all windows, sunroof and air vents are firmly closed, and that there are
no hanging ornament!

- Do not mounted the sensors on the areas where temperature may get very high due to direct

sunlight. Sensitivity of the detector may cause false triggers!

- Do not aim the detector directly at windows! False triggers will result due to normal vibration of

windows from loud trucks, motorcycles or high winds.

3. Arm the alarm as usual, put your arm through the window.
4. If the ALARM doesn't sounds after your arm through the window, rotating the adjustment knob

1/8 turn to "+" position for increasing sensitivity.
