Zero Adjustment of programmed Methods

Due to enhanced functionality of methods and special application methods, the zero adjustment
for concentration measurement has been adapted. These changes are benefitial for many
applications. The last valid zero adjustment is displayed on screen.
The following table shows the difference and effects of zero adjustment between Version 1.xx and
Version 2.00.

Zero Adjustment V. 1.xx

Zero Adjustment V. 2.00

With ZERO-BLANK key the zero
adjustment for all wavelengths of
programmed methods is performed
at once.

With ZERO-BLANK key the zero
adjustment only for the wavelength of
the selected methods is performed.

Factory Zero

A factory zero of rectangular cell
(10, 20, 50 mm) and the 16 mm
round cell for all wavelengths of
programmed methods
is
performed and stored.

A factory zero of rectangular cell (10,
20, 50 mm) and the 16 mm round cell
for the 12 Wellenlängen of
programmed methods using
barcodes
is peformed and stored.
(Cell tests or reagent test kits with
AutoSelector).

First use in
Concentration

The user will be asked, if the factory
zero should be taken over. It will be
effective for the wavelengths of all
programmed methods.

The user will be asked, if the factory
zero should be taken over. It will be
effective for the 12 wavelengths used
by barcoded method data.

Effect

Pressing the ZERO-BLANK key a
new zero will be performed with the
actually used cell and selected cell
size. This zero is effective for all
wavelengths used in programmed
methos at once.

Using a special cell (Quartz, Half-
mico or plastic) the zero adkjustment
for all programmed methods is
changed. When using different
cuvette for different methods, a zero
must be performed each time, which
then again changes the zero for all
wavelength at once.

Pressing the ZERO-BLANK key a new
zero will be performed with the actually
used cell and selected cell size. This
zero is effective for the actual
wavelength of selected method.

The zero adjustment takes place for
the selected method / wavelength
only. Thus, different cell types can be
used method specifically. Also an
adjustment with other solutions than
water can be used method specifically,
(if refraction index of the solution
differs not strongly from water).

about zero
adjustment

Effect

Selecting a method, user is asked
each time, if existing zero (date xx,
time xx) shall be continued to use.

Enquiry for each method selection

Date and Time of last valid zero
adjustment is displayed in the upper
right corner.

Die letzte Null wird immer angezeigt.
