This device is intended for revolving operation. Operation at higher speeds than
intended for this device is not permitted. Due to the occurring centrifugal forces,
depending on the speed, the components could come loose and endanger persons
or property in the vicinity.
If the maximum speed of the machine is greater than that permitted for this device, a
speed limiting unit must be present on the machine.
If not engraved on the basic body, the max. speed and actuation force/actuation
pressure are to be inquired from the manufacturer and may not be exceeded.
This damage could involve the danger of flung-away components and the personal
injury/material damage which could result from this.
Even exceeding the permissible values once can lead to damage and can pose a
concealed source of danger.
The manufacturer should be informed immediately in such cases so that an
inspection of functional and operational safety can be conducted. This is the only way
safe clamping unit operation can be further guaranteed.
If other clamping elements should be used other than those intended for this
clamping fixture, it is fundamentally required to consult the clamping device
manufacturer.
The material to be clamped should possess a rigidity suitable for the clamping force
involved and should only be minimally compressible if secure workpiece clamping
under the machining forces which occur is to be ensured.
Fixing and replacing screws
Inferior replacements or inadequate fixing of screws which are being changed or
become loose can lead to risks of both injury to personnel and material damage. It is
therefore imperative that only such torque as expressly recommended by the screw
manufacturer and suitable for the screw quality be applied when tightening fixing
screws.
