ENGLISH

The vacuum technique is only to be used on smooth ground, as an adequate vacuum
can only be produced here. Never suck in on plaster! The drill rig could break away
from the wall.

In the event of a power failure, the safety tank on the RODIA-VAC vacuum pump ensures that
the equipment remains firmly attached to the ground for approx. 1 2 minutes. This time period,
however, is strongly dependent on the impermeability of the system and the condition of the
ground.

Check the negative pressure constantly during drilling work. The pressure must not fall below
0.8 bars!

Remove the equipment from the wall immediately in the event of a power failure.
Danger due to the equipment falling off. Vacuum neutralized. Only work using slight
feed pressure.

Care, Maintenance and Cleaning

In order to keep your vacuum pump in good working conditions we recommend you to
perform periodical servicing operations. Before performing any maintenance opera-
tion, switch off the vacuum pump and make all air in the tank release.

Do not use solvents, running water or pressure jet/spray systems - this may endanger the
electric safety.

Keep the grip free from oil and grease.

Regularly clean the ventilation slots with soft and dry brushes.

Vacuum pump:

All 3000 operating hours the cylinder heads have to be screwed off and the compressor tank
and the valves have to be checked. Complete valve plates or cylinder heads could be delivered
ex. Stock. Also the vacuum compressor block.

After 10000 operating hours the vacuum pump should be checked completely.
Tank:

By unsealed tube connections the pressure can go down. Frequently check the tube connec-
tions are necessary to provide pressure fall down.
Air suction filter (monthly cleaning):

The air suction filter should be cleaned frequently after a period of non-working or when used in
very dusty environment.

The filter part has to be re-newed after some time.

Unscrew the screws and remove the motor casing by lifting.

Take out the filter cover.

Rinse the filtering component with water and soap, and make sure that it is totally dry before
to fit it again.

Do not operate the vacuum pump without the suction filter fitted, as foreign bodies or
dust could seriously damage the inside components.

Condensate drainage (weekly):

Open the valve by turning it anticlockwise.

Arrange the tank so as to make the valve mouth turned downward.

Place a container under the valve.

Keep the vacuum pump in such position until all air has flown out completely.

The condensate is not polluted and can be eliminated through the sewer system!
Empty the water separator:

Remove residual vacuum.

Rotate the container from the water separator (OPEN) and pull it down (bayonet connec-
tion).

Empty container.
