3 Idrifttagning
Vid behov:
• Vrid givarfästet till utgångsläget.

Observera läget för tryckluftsanslutningarna Pcw och
Pccw (se kapitlet “Montering”).

1.Pålufta DSM-... enligt följande:

– först båda anslutningarna Pcw och Pccw
– avlufta sedan anslutningen, som vrider

magnethållarens pil i riktning mot givararfästet
helsockeln (V).
Pilen når ändläget utan att peka på givarfästet.

2.Justera givarfästet med helsockeln (V) och skruv (T) vid

magnethållarens pil 1, tills önskad kopplingspunkt
uppnås.

3.Dra åt fästskruven (T) på givarfästet med helsockel (V)

med följande åtdragningsmoment.

1 Function and application
The mounting kit WSM-... is an extension module for semi-
rotary drives of type DSM-... to sense the end positions.
The swivel motion of the DSM-... causes the magnet inte-
grated in the magnet holder 1 to move back and forth.
The arrow on the magnet holder shows the alignment of
the underlying magnets. The end positions are sensed
with the aid of proximity sensors of type SME-10..-... or
SMT-10..-...
The mounting kit WSM-... has been designed to sense the
position of the end positions on semi-rotary drives of type
DSM-6-... to DSM-10-...

2 Fitting

Angle specifications may deviate in the application.
• Take the production-related tolerances of the

WSM-... into consideration.

Incorrect handling can lead to malfunctioning.
• Please check the following points:

– Take the specifications and instructions in the

operating instructions of the semi-rotary drive
used into consideration.

– The cables of the proximity sensors must not be

twisted.

– Maintain the tightening torque when mounting the

proximity sensors (see operating instructions of
the proximity sensor used).

• Fit the WSM-... as follows:
1.Align the air supply ports of the semi-rotary drive to the

bottom.

2.Loosely olace the magnet holder onto the square 5 on

the semi-rotary drive.

3.Turn the magnet holder until the flat/feather key groove

of the drive shaft is parallel to the mounting flange on
the side of the air suppply ports (see Fig. below).
This is the only way that all the variants can have a
uniform fitting sequence.

4.Determine the basic position using the swivel angle to

be realised in the application (see table):

5.Place the following components according to the basic

position and screw in the screws with washer.

The sensor brackets should still be able to be twisted
against each other.

6.Place the proximity sensors (SME-10..-.../SMT-10..-...)

in the sensor brackets 3 of the WSM-... up to the stop.

7.Screw in the mounting screw (Z) of the proximity sensor

until you can feel resistance.

The clamping plate is then mechanically coupled
(SME-10-...) or magnetically coupled (SME-10F-...) with
the sensor bracket.

• Fit the semi-rotary drive according to the preferred

alternative in the following figure.

This thus completes preassembly of the sensor bracket.
Consult the operating instructions of the semi-rotary
drive DSM-... for the rest of the fitting procedure.

3 Commissioning
If necessary:
• Swivel the sensor brackets into basic position.

Take the position of the supply ports Pcw and Pccw into
consideration (see chapter “Fitting”).

1.Pressurize the DSM-... as follows:

– First both ports Pcw and Pccw
– Then exhaust the port which moves the arrow of the

magnet holder toward the sensor bracket with the
full base (V).
The arrow reaches the end position without pointing
at the sensor bracket.

2.Adjust the sensor bracket with the full base (V) and the

deep screw (T) at the arrow of the magnet holder 1
until the required switching point has been reached.

3.Screw in the deep mounting screw (T) at the sensor

bracket with the full base (V) with the following tighten-
ing torque.

4.Repeat the positioning for the other end position with

the sensor bracket with the half base (U) and the high
screw (S).

5.Start the test run in accordance with the operating in-

structions of the semi-rotary drive and check that the
sensors have the correct switching point.

4 Operation

Switching point shifts can be caused by vibrations or
fatigue.
• Make sure that the fit of the WSM-... is always

backlash-free in accordance with your operating
conditions.

5 Care and maintenance
If necessary:
• Clean the WSM-... with soap suds only (max. +60

°C).
