Eppendorf Cell Counting Plates are suitable for two independent quantifications of both prokaryotic
and eukaryotic cells. Eppendorf Cell Counting Plates are designed for single use in routine,
research and training labs in the bioscience, industrial and chemical fields. They are intended for
use by trained specialists only.

Proceed as follows:
1. Dilute the cells in a cell suspension at an appropriate cell density.
 Only use optically perfect and undamaged products.
 Reagents, consumables contaminated by reagents and materials used for cleaning and
disinfecting must be disposed of in accordance with laboratory regulations.
Hint!
Fill the gap with the maximum specified amount of liquid otherwise the cell suspension
may enter the second part of the counting chamber.
2. Pipette an appropriate amount (about 10 —L) of
your cell suspension into one of the two gaps
between the cover and the plate.
In case of difficulties during filling, apply light
pressure with your finger on the cover of the
counting chamber.
3. Count the cells within a large square
(1 mm × 1 mm) with the aid of a microscope.
Determine the exact cell number: count out
several large squares and form the average
value.
4. Calculate the cell number:
• Height of chamber: 0.1 mm
• Volume of a large square: 0.1 —L
(1 mm × 1 mm × 0.1 mm = 0.1 mm³)

Die Eppendorf Cell Counting Plates sind für zwei unabhängige Quantifizierungen von sowohl prokaryotischen als
auch eukaryotischen Zellen geeignet. Die Eppendorf Cell Counting Plates sind für den einmaligen Gebrauch in
Routine-, Forschungs- und Ausbildungslabors der Biowissenschaften, Industrie und Chemie konzipiert. Sie sind
nur für die Verwendung durch ausgebildetes Fachpersonal vorgesehen.

Gehen Sie folgendermaßen vor:
1.
Zellen in eine Zellsuspension mit geeigneter Zelldichte verdünnen.
 Nur optisch einwandfreie und unbeschädigte Ware verwenden.
 Reagenzien, mit Reagenzien verschmutzte Verbrauchsartikel und zur Reinigung und Desinfektion
benutzte Materialien nur entsprechend den für das Labor erlassenen Vorschriften entsorgen.
Hinweis!
Spalt maximal mit der angegebenen Flüssigkeitsmenge befüllen, sonst kann die Zellsuspension in
den zweiten Teil der Zählkammer gelangen.
2. Eine geeignete Menge (etwa 10 —L) ihrer Zellsuspension
in einen der beiden Spalte zwischen der Abdeckung und
der Platte pipettieren.
Bei Schwierigkeiten während des Befüllens mit dem
Finger leichten Druck auf die Abdeckung der
Zählkammer ausüben.
3. Die Zellen innerhalb eines Großquadrats
(1 mm × 1 mm) mit Hilfe eines Mikroskopes zählen.
Genauere Zellzahl ermitteln: Mehrere Großquadrate
auszählen und den Mittelwert bilden.
4. Zellzahl berechnen:
• Höhe der Kammer: 0,1 mm
•
Volumen eines Großquadrats: 0,1 —L
(1 mm × 1 mm × 0,1 mm = 0,1 mm³)
Berechnung der Zellzahl bei 400 gezählten Zellen in
