The shock absorber support KYE has been designed for fastening:

Shock absorber YSRW to the axis EGC-TB-KF/EGC-…-FA

1)

Emergency buffer NPE to the axis EGC-…-KF/EGC-…-FA

Caution

• Note that combination with axes EGC-…-GP /-GQ is not permitted. There

is a danger of collision of the roller cassette with the shock absorber
support 1.

• Note that the shock absorber support 1 in conjunction with a cushion-

ing element (shock absorber 6/ emergency buffer) is not designed for
continuous loading. It just serves as a buffer in emergencies.

2. Preparing for assembly / dismantling

Caution

Increased danger of injury in the vicinity of opening (C) of the EGC-TB 5.
• Make sure that:

nobody can place his/her hand in the danger area by providing

appropriate protective measures.

no objects lie in the danger area.

Note

In order to achieve higher clamping forces:
• Make sure that the guide rail of the axis 5 is free of grease in the area

of the support fastening.

Information

Supplementary fitting of the shock absorber support 1 will reduce the
stroke reserve of the axis 5.
• Check whether the remaining effective stroke is sufficient for your

application.

12293d_2

• Remove the black rubber

buffer (B) from the axis
EGC-TB/-FA/-BS 5.

In addition with assembly of the
KYE with YSRW on EGC-TB:

Remove the blue cover
caps (A) from the
opening (C).

1)

No shock absorbers are permitted with axis EGC-BS-KF.

2a. Positioning of the shock absorber YSRW

1)

2)

12293d_3

• Screw the shock absorber 6

into the shock absorber
support 1 observing
dimension X (

!table).

12293d_4

Dimension X must not be less
than the minimum permitted;
otherwise the shock ab-
sorber 6 will be damaged.
• Set dimension X accurately

so that as much cushioning
energy of shock absorber 6
as possible can be used.

Information

Shock absorber 6 is set when dimension X is observed such that it does
not move to its end position during impact.

12293d_5

• Clamp the shock absorber 6

in the shock absorber
support 1 with screw 3.
Maintain the permitted
tightening torque
(

! table 4.).

3. Assembly shock absorber KYE-…

12293d_6

The shock absorber support 1
may only be positioned at the
end positions of the axis.
• Place the shock absorber

support 1 on the stop on
the cover (D) of the axis 5.

12293d_7

Clamping the shock absorber
support 1 to the rail of the
axis 5:
• Fasten the clamping

support 2 on the shock
absorber support 1 with the
screws 4. Maintain the
permitted tightening torque
(

! table 4.).
