2. Installation on the clearaudio turntable
Before beginning with the montage of the VTA-Lifters on the tonearmbasis of your record
player turntable, you should established the right fitting-sleeve to your tonearm (at the
beginnings-delivery-condition is already the fitting-sleeve for clearaudio rotary-tonearm
factory-adjusted). Besides you edge the scope of delivery of the VTA-Lifter one after another
over the pole of the tonearm feet and establish the right sleeve while this nearly itself edge
free from float on the tonearm feet.*
The montage of the VTA-Lifters already assumes an attached tonearm basis on the turntable
with a 49mm-through hole.* Put in the VTA-Lifter-Unit from above in the right bore in the
tonearm basis.
Make sure that the lever of the lifter is located in the „0“- central position and is operated
amenable and comfortable in the handling.
Now mount the VTA-Lifter with the enclosed screw nut (#3) in the tonearm basis.
To handle the VTA-Lifter frictionless it is necessary to bold it steadfast together with the
tonearm basis. Secure therefore the screw with help of a compination wrench
(wrench size: 54) a litlle firmer.
Now you can arm the tonearm in the VTA-Lifter:
Therefore you turn the lever of the lifter as far as possible in the with „+“ marked rotating
direction. Following you edge the tonearm feet from above in the VTA-Lifter, until the
tonearm duct telescope is nearly parallel to the turntable surface. Fix this position by
lightly
tighten the sidewards amenable maggot screw.
Now turn the lever of the lifter back to its original middle position.
To optimize the parallelity between the tonearm and the turntable surface you have to
unscrew the both sideward positioned maggot screws. Following you are able to adjust the
high of the tonearm accurately while diversifing the tonearm feet with the forefinger from
below in its high and assure in the best possible position by attaching tighten the sidewards
amenable maggot screws.
Now you have finished all necessary measures to instal the VTA-Lifter.
After justifing the tonearm- / cartridgejustage (mind the installation advice of the
corresponding manufacturer), you are already able to increase your music enjoyment with
the VTA-Lifter.
