Strom.
Gelbe LED: Das Leuchten bzw. Blinken der gelben LED deutet an, dass
man sich im Teachmodus befi ndet
• Was bedeutet Netzteil nach UL 1310, Class 2?
• What happens during factory reset or how does the sensor work upon
leaving the factory?
The analog output is set to 0 V for objects which are at the beginning of the
measuring range and to10 V for objects at the end of the measuring range.
In between, the output is linear with respect to the distance. The digital
output is active (i.e. an electrical current fl ows) as a long there is an object
within the measuring range. This is indicated by the red LED.
• How can the sensor be confi gured?
TTo perform a factory reset the teach wire must be connected for at least 6
seconds with +V. The activation of the other teach modes is described in the
operating instructions in detail.
• How were the technical values in the data sheet determined?
The values are valid for a standard object according EN 60947-5-2 (square
plate FE360) in non-fl ush mounting. The measurement of a different object
or different mounting changes in particular the linearity of the output signal.
More details can be found in the operation instructions.
• What is the meaning of the red and yellow LED?
Red LED: An object is within the teach limits of the digital output. The output
is active, this means an electrical current fl ows.
Yellow LED: The fl ashing of the yellow LED indicates that the sensor is in
teach mode.
• What does power supply according UL 1310, Class 2 mean?
To fulfi ll the requirement of UL 508 category NRKH (industrial control equip-
ment, proximity switches) either a power supply according UL 1310, Class 2
or an external R/C or listed fuse, rated max. 30VAC/3A or 24VDC/4A, must
be used.

Product information

This sensor has a digital and an analog output which can be confi gured
independently from each other. The analog output can be confi gured by a
1-point teach to a start or an end value. This is particularly useful to eliminate
installation tolerances. The digital output can be confi gured such that the
output is only active in a certain distance range (“window teach”).
Detailed information for this product can be found in the operation instruc-
tions. They can be downloaded at www.baumer.com . There you can fi nd, in
particular, detailed instructions for the teach-in procedure.
