5. Insert the base plate of the sample holder into the open
measurement area from the backside of the instrument
(fig. 1).
Fasten the base plate with both rear plastic screws to
the instrument base plate.
6. Loosen the stop screws (A) of the moving slide and pull
it apart (fig. 2).
7. Position the sample clamp on the slide and secure the
fastening screws (B) just tight enough to hold the film
(fig. 3).
For correct positioning, insert a film in the sample
clamp. Center the sample clamp with the sample in the
optical path (measurement spot).
Ensure that the film is flush against both clarity and
haze port.
Tighten the fastening screws (B) all the way.
8. Position and tighten the stop screws (A) of the slide to
ensure that the slide does not push against either side
of the instrument housing (end stop).
Caution!
• For shipping the instrument, the sample holder
needs to be removed and packaged
separately.
• Prior to removal, fasten the stop screws of the
slide (A) to avoid a shifting of the slide.
