THIS APPARATUS MUST BE EARTHED.
To ensure safe operation the three-pin lead supplied
must be connected only into a standard three-pin
power point which is effectively earthed through the
normal household wiring.
Extension cords used with the equipment must be
three-core and be correctly wired to provide con­
nection to earth. Wrongly wired extension cords are
a major cause of fatalities.
The fact that the equipment operates satisfactorily
does not imply that the power point is earthed and
that the installation is completely safe. For your
safety, if in any doubt about the effective earthing
of the power point, consult a qualified electrician.
If the unit is not going to be used for length of time,
turn the power OFF and disconnect the power plug
from the AC outlet.
Lithium Battery
Warning
The lithium battery in this equipment must only be replaced
by qualified personnel. When necessary, contact your
supplier.
‘The lithium battery is a criticai component (type number
VL2330/1HF.)
It must never be subjected to excessive heat or discharge.
It must therefore only be fitted in equipment designed
specifically for its use.
Replacement batteries must be of the same type and
manufacturer. They must be fitted in the same manner
and location as the original battery, with the correct polarity
connections observed.
Do not attempt to re-charge the old battery or re-use it
for any other purpose. It should be disposed of in waste
products destined for burial rather than incineration.”

Replace only with the same or equivaient type recom­
mended by the equipment manufacturer. Discard used
batteries according to manufacturer’s instmctions.
