Function of the analog I/O interface
Factory-set the analog I/O interface is configured for vacuum output as analog voltage 0-10 V, e. g. to be
conneted to a pen recorder. The input of the analog I/O interface is not used in this configuration.
If the interface is active (controller / measurement device is switched on) the LED lights green. At a pres-
sure > 1000 mbar the LED flashes green.
If the interface is inactive (controller / measurement device shut off) a voltage of -0.3 V can be measured
at the output.
Vacuum output as analog voltage 0-10 V (in combination with CVC 3000 / VNC 2 / DCP 3000)
Controller / measuring gauge with internal pressure transducer or external VACUUBRAND vacuum
sensor VSK 3000: At the output of the analog I/O interface a DC voltage of 0 - 10 V is sent. The output
voltage is linear to the vacuum. This corresponds to a pressure of 0 - 1000 mbar or 0 - 750 Torr ( 0 VB
corresponds to 0 mbar / 0 Torr, 10 V corresponds to 1000 mbar / 750 Torr).
Controller / measuring gauge with external VACUUBRAND vacuum sensor VSP 3000: At the output of
the module a DC voltage of 0.5 - 9.5 V is sent. The output voltage is logarithmic to the vacuum from
0.5 - 9.5 V with a scaling of 1.5 V per decade (totally 6 decades from 1 x 10 -3 to 1 x 10 3 mbar or 7.5 x
10 -4 to 7.5 x 10 2 Torr).
Set vacuum input and and actual vacuum output as analog voltage 0-10 V (in combination with
CVC 3000 / VNC 2)
If using a controller in operation mode „Vac control“ the analog input can be used for vacuum setting.
0 - 10 V correspond to 0 - 1000 mbar. The analog output of the analog I/O interface sends the actual
(measured) pressure value.
Motor speed output as analog voltage 0-10 V (in combination with CVC 3000)
The output of the analog I/O interface sends the actual motor speed as signal 0 -10 V (corresponds to
0 - 100 % of the motor speed).
Motor speed input and output as analog voltage 0-10 V (in combination with CVC 3000)
If using the controller in operation mode “Pump down” the analog input can be used for motor speed
setting. 0 - 10 V correspond to 0 - 100% of the motor speed.The analog output sends the actual (meas-
ured) motor speed.
If setting the vacuum or the motor speed via interface settings at the controller or via controller interface
are without function.
Note:
Modules with current input 0 - 5 V and / or output or current input 4 - 20 mA are available on request,
current output is not available.
