Use of the charger

r

Automatic charger for 24V lead-acid batteries with a capacity between 2
– 40 Ah

Features

Suitable for all 24V lead-acid batteries of 2 - 40Ah

Indicators

The LED signals the following status:
LED lights red: ready for use
LED lights orange: charging process
LED lights green: battery fully charged / trickle charge

Attention

n

Charge only rechargeable lead-acid batteries; other types or
non-rechargeable batteries could cause an explosion!

Operation

n

Contact the 24b V lead-acid battery with the correct polarity by using the
enclosed adaptor and then connect to the mains.

Battery terminal: Connect the crocodile adaptor cable to the
charging plug of the unit. Connect the black clip to the negative
terminal (-) and the red clip to the positive terminal (+).
Spade terminal: Connect the adaptor cable to the charging plug of
the unit. Connect the push-on connectors with the correct polarity to
the lead-acid battery. Fit the black connector to the negative spade
(-) and the red connector to the positive (+) spade. As soon as the
mains is turned on the charger starts the charging process. The LED
lights orange and indicates the charging process. After completion of
the fast charging, the LED lights green. The battery is buffered
continuously with floating charge current. The battery is fully charged
and can be removed from the charger after disconnecting from the
mains.

Stand-by and parallel operation

When a consumer electrical appliance is connected and the voltage
of the battery goes down, the charger automatically starts to
recharge the battery.

Warning

g

When charging lead-acid batteries explosive gases
can be produced. Please ensure sufficient ventilation
and avoid open fire or sparks.

Always disconnect the mains BEFORE connecting or disconnecting
the charger from the battery. (To avoid sparks).

Maintenance

e

To clean the charger disconnect it from the mains and use only a dry
cloth. Do not plug in the charger if there are signs of damage to the
housing or power cable. In case of a defect please return to an
authorized dealer.

Safety measures

For indoor use only. In order to avoid the risk of fire and/or
electric shock, the unit must be protected against high
humidity and water. Do not attempt to open the charger.
