INTRODUCTION
Welcome! We are confident that you will
find this new solar cell powered calculating
machine essential for satisfying all of your
calculating needs. This 12-digit desktop
calculating machine is perfectly capable of
working with a minimum amount of natural
or artificial light.
WARNING
Do not open the machine for any reason. Do
not use it over or near heat sources (for
example, radiators) or near water (for
example, pools or showers). To clean the
machine use a damp cloth; never use
solvents or corrosive liquids.
POWER SUPPLY
It is suggested that you install a non-
rechargeable AA type battery so as to
provide the machine with an alternative
power supply to natural or artificial light.
The battery also guarantees memory back
up for the EURO/local currency conversion
rate eventually set and for any data present
in memory. It can be installed in the
appropriate battery compartment located
underneath the machine.
DISPLAY
M Presence of data in memory.
E Error condition; displayed when
an incorrect entry is made or
when the calculation exceeds the
machine’s capacity. Press ON/C
to clear this condition.

Negative algebraic sign displayed
before the related number.
¼ Indicates the value in Euro.
LOCAL Indicates the value in local
currency.
TAX+/- Indicates a gross value obtained
from the increase or breakdown of
a previously defined percentage.
TAX Indicates the value increased or
broken down with respect to the
gross value.
TAX% Displayed during the percent
definition phase, indicates the set
percentage.
SET When used together with the
LOCAL or EURO key, sets the
EURO/local currency exchange
rate. When used together with the
TAX+ key, sets the percentage to
associate to the TAX+ and TAX-
keys.
RATE Indicates the exchange rate
currently set.
SLIDE SWITCHES
Decimal point selector: + 0 2 3 FL
+ (Add Mode) position.
The decimal point is automatically placed
two positions to the left during a calculation.
All totals are given with decimal digits.
0 2 3 Position
The result of the calculation will be
displayed with the decimal point in the pre-
selected position:
0 for whole numbers, 2 for two digits after
the decimal point, 3 for three digits after the
decimal point.
FL Position (automatic floating point).
The result of the calculation will be
displayed with the maximum number of
decimals.
Round-off Selector: ↓ 5/4 ↑
↓ position: round off downward.
5/4 position: round off mathematically
(results rounded off to the nearest unit).
↑ position: round off upward.
KEYPAD

Cancels the rightmost entry.
% Percentage.
÷
Division.
X Multiplication.
= Total for all operations.
ON/C Powers on the machine,
clears an error condition and
clears the last entry made.
AC Total clearance.
Clears the memory.
+/- Switch sign.
0-9, 00 Numeric keys, double zero.

Decimal point.

Subtraction.

Addition.
SET Sets the Euro exchange rate.
Enter the exchange rate in local
currency and then press this key
to store the rate. Also used with
TAX+ to set a fixed percentage.
EURO Converts into Euro the value
displayed in local currency.
LOCAL Converts into local currency the
value displayed in Euro.
TAX+ Used together with the SET key,
defines a percentage. Pressed
once during a calculation,
displays the increased (gross)
value while pressed a second
time displays the amount
increased.
TAX- Breakdown of the percentage
previously defined with TAX+.
When pressed a second time
during a calculation, displays the
breakdown value.
OFF Manual machine power off.

Calculates a percentage delta.

Calculates the square root of a
number.
Memory: M+ M - M / *
M + /M - Memory plus/minus; adds/
subtracts an amount to/from
memory.
M / * Pressed once displays the
memory subtotal, pressed a
second time ends the operation,
displays the total and then clears
the memory.
