Procedure:
1. Push the fastening plugs of the DC protection
against contact out from the inside using a
screwdriver.
2. Remove the fastening plugs from the outside and
take off the DC protection against contact.
3. Insert the new DC protection against contact from
the outside in the corresponding enclosure
openings and push the fastening plugs firmly in the
openings.
4. Recommission the inverter (see inverter manual at
www.SMA-Solar.com).
Danger to life due to high voltages in the inverter
When exposed to sunlight, the PV array generates dangerous DC voltage which is present in the
DC conductors and the live components of the inverter. Touching the DC conductors or the live
components can lead to lethal electric shocks.
• All work on the inverter must be carried out by qualified persons only. Qualified persons must
have specific skills (for the skills of qualified persons, see inverter manual at
www.SMA-Solar.com).
• Prior to performing any work on the inverter, always disconnect the inverter from all voltage
sources (see inverter manual at www.SMA-Solar.com).
• Do not touch any live components of the inverter.
