Before Initial Use

Do not place the devices next to or on metal plates. Otherwise the quality of radio
wave transmission may be reduced.

Radio signal (DCF):
The DCF signal (time signal transmitter) is made up of time pulses transmitted from one of
the highest precision clocks in the world close to Frankfurt / Main in Germany - it varies by
1 second in 1 million years. In ideal conditions, your weather station can pick up this signal
over a distance of up to approx. 1,500 km around Frankfurt / Main.

Setting up the external sensor

Inserting / changing the battery:

Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the outdoor sensor (see Figure D).

Insert two 1.5 V batteries (AA) (supplied) in the battery compartment

note: Ensure the correct polarity. This is shown in the battery compartment

Set the switch

to 1, 2 or 3 in order to select the desired outdoor sensor channel.

The outdoor sensor is now ready to operate and the control LED

lights up briefly.

Close the cover of the battery compartment.

note: Select a covered location for the outdoor sensor and do not position it in the
immediate vicinity of the weather station (e.g. separated by a wall). Make sure the
outdoor sensor does not come into contact with water or direct sunlight. Electronic
devices can interfere with the radio reception.
