Note: You can operate the lamp from its solar cell 1
or batteries.
Note: Remove the insulating strips before using the
product for the first time.
Inserting / replacing the batteries
Turn the battery compartment cover 4 in the
OPEN direction and take it off.
Note: When taking off the battery compartment
cover
4 , please ensure that the battery com-
partment 3 does not fall out of the lamp.
Pull the battery compartment 3 out of the lamp.
Remove the used batteries, if present.
Insert three new batteries (1.5 V , type: Mono D)
into the battery compartment 3 .
Note: Make sure you fit the batteries the right
way round (polarity). The correct polarity is
shown inside the battery compartment

Insert the battery compartment 3 back into the
lamp. Ensure that the arrow on the underside of
the battery compartment
3 is pointing to the
direction of the locating channel inside the lamp.
Place the battery compartment cover 4 back
on to the bottom of the lamp and turn it in the
CLOSE direction.
Charging rechargeable batteries
Charging by the solar cell takes place automatically
in the switch setting “off”.
The battery charging period using the solar cell

depends on the intensity of the sunlight and the angle
of incidence of the light on the solar cell
1 .
Place the solar cell 1 as perpendicular as possible
to the angle of incidence of the light. In this way you
will receive the highest light levels.
