Now open the radiator again. The bleeding oc-

curs automatically.

Note: After the vent has been fitted, the pressure
in the heating system must be checked and, if nec-
essary, brought back to the target pressure again.

Quick bleed

For quick bleeding, for instance when first fitting,

the valve head can be screwed out 1 - 2 turns by
hand using the knurled screw (works like manual
bleeding).

As soon as water escapes, the valve must be

turned back in tightly by hand.

Attention: Water leak, please catch with a suit-
able container!

Non-return valve

When the valve head is screwed out completely, a
built-in non-return valve prevents water leakage. Only
necessary in the case of maintenance work.
Note: If necessary call a specialist (plumber or heat-
ing contractor). We assume no liability for valves that
are not fitted properly.

Maintenance

The fully automatic radiator bleed vent is maintenance-
free. It is however recommended, that manual bleeding
once a year is carried out to fully check the functioning.

Technical Data

Operating temperature: max. 100 °C
Operating pressure
at the radiator:

min. 0.1 bar, max. 8.5 bar

Operating medium:

Use

Remove old valve

Before swapping the valves, the radiator must be
depressurised.

Remove the valve using the open ended spanner

provided. Remaining pressure in the radiator escapes.

Catch escaping water using a suitable container.

CAUTION! RISK OF SCALDING! The radiator
must be cooled down.

Fitting new valve

Note: The fully automatic radiator bleed vent is self-
sealing, it is not necessary to use hemp or Teflon tape
to seal it.

Fit the valves vertically at the highest point of the

radiator, with the valve head facing upwards or
horizontally, and do NOT fit them with the valve
head facing downwards.

Caution: Water leaks possible!

Fitting and bleeding

The fully automatic radiator bleed vent is screwed

into the radiator, using the open-ended spanner
provided. The automatic bleeding is now activated.
