Change CA PIN
When you put a new Smart Card, the initial PIN Code is set to ‘ 0000 ‘. Therefore, it is recommended that this PIN Code
should be changed. This PIN Code is available only on Conditional Access.
Change Signature PIN
This is reserved menu.
Maturity Rating
This STB is required by Conax to include a parental controlfacility for the viewing of restricted services.
This can be set to the four different levels.
The correct PIN Code is required to change this option.
About Conax CA
The user can view the unique CA related system information such as software version, Interface version, Card number,
Language.
5.5.2 CI Manager
Cable Broadcasts are divided into free channels and pay
channels. To view pay channels, you will need to purchase a
Smart Card and CI-CA module (CAM) from the broadcaster of
the corresponding channel(s). The Receiver is equipped with 2
PCMCIA slots to enable the viewing of pay channels. Insert the
CI-CA module (CAM) that is inserted with the Smart Card into
one of the PCMCIA slots.
1. Insert the Smart Card into the CI-CA module (CAM).
2. Insert the CI-CA module (CAM) with the Smart Card into the PCMCIA slot 1 or 2.
3. Press the MENU button on the remote control to go to the Main Menu.
4. Select “CAS and CI” and then press the OK button.
5. From the Common Interface Manager screen, you can check the names of the Smart Cards you have
assigned. These appear next to Slots 1 and 2.
6. Select a slot and then press the OK button to check the menu available on the corresponding Smart Card.
The contents of such menus vary depending on the Smart Card you are using.
5.6 Utility
1 Press the Menu button on the remote control. The Main Menu screen
will appear.
2 Use the CH Up/Down buttons on the remote control to select the
Utility menu, and then press the OK button
z Calendar
- "1. Calendar", and then press the OK button.
- Use the left and right buttons to choose the month.
- Use the up and down buttons to choose year.
