5 Electrical connection
The series 5 pyrometers are powered by 24 V DC nominal (possible range: 10
... 30 V DC, ripple must be less than 0.5 V). When connecting the device to the
power supply ensure correct polarity. The instrument has no warm-up time,
with connection to the power the instrument operates immediately. To switch
off the instrument, interrupt the power supply or unplug the electrical connec-
tor.
Analog output and power supply are galvanically insolated.
To meet the electromagnetic requirements (EMV), a shielded connecting cable
must be used. The shield of the connecting cable is usually only connected on
the pyrometer side. If the connecting cable is extended, the extension cable
also needs to be shielded. Do not connect the shield to the power source side
(control cabinet), to avoid ground loops.
