Instructions for Use
Turn your computer on and allow it to start completely. Close any programs that produce sound, including
MP3 players, media players, VOIP programs, and instant messenger programs. Insert the USB connector of
your B-Flex into an available USB port on your computer. The B-Flex does not require you to install any
drivers. Your computer should automatically recognize the B-Flex as a USB audio device. Before removing
your B-Flex, you should also close any programs that produce sound. Never remove the B-Flex while it is in
use, as that may cause sound programs to experience errors.
Using the B-Flex with Microsoft Windows®
You may see a message indicating that your computer recognizes the device and that the device is ready for
use. You may also hear a sound from your B-Flex. Then, test the device by using any application that
produces sound. If you hear the sound through your B-Flex, then it is ready for use.
If you cannot hear sound through your B-Flex, close any programs that produce sound and go to Start,
Settings, Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices. Under the Volume tab, click Advanced. A new window
will open. Make sure the device volume is not muted and raise the volume bar all the way to the top.
Minimize the new window. Then go to the Audio tab and select USB Audio Device as the default device for
sound playback. If the Apply button at the bottom is clickable, then click it and then click OK. Now try any
application that produces sound.
If the sound is still not coming through your B-Flex, try shutting down your computer. Then, make sure
the B-Flex is connected to an available USB port and turn your computer on. Repeat the steps above.
Using the B-Flex with Mac OS®
Click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen. Click System Preferences. In the Hardware
section, click Sound. In the Sound panel, click Output. Click USB Audio Device as the device for sound
output. Raise the volume at the bottom to your desired level. Your B-Flex should now be ready for use.
Troubleshooting
If your B-Flex stops working or your computer displays a sound driver error, close all programs that produce
sound, disconnect the B-Flex, wait a few seconds and then plug the B-Flex back in. If that does not work,
disconnect the B-Flex, restart your computer, allow your computer to fully boot and reconnect the B-Flex.
You can also try moving or removing other USB devices. The B-Flex may not be receiving enough power if
too many other USB devices are plugged in nearby. If your B-Flex seems to be limp, then work with it by
flexing it back and forth and around into the position you want. Then it should hold its position.
Precautions
- Keep your B-Flex away from dirt, sand, liquids, extreme heat and cold, storage media, and powerful
magnets. Avoid dropping or banging your B-Flex.
- Do not use excessive force when flexing or turning your B-Flex. The B-Flex speaker is designed to rotate
340° around the flex cable. Do not attempt to rotate the speaker beyond the stopping point.
- TO PREVENT THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT DISASSEMBLE THIS UNIT. THERE ARE NO USER
SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE.
JLab Audio hereby warrants that this product will be free in normal use from any defects in materials or
workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase. At its option, JLab Audio will repair or

Installationsanleitung
Schalten Sie ihren Computer ein und warten Sie bis das Betriebssystem vollständig geladen wurde. Schließen
Sie jegliche Multimedia Programme die eine Soundausgabe haben wie z.B. MP3 Player, Media Player, VOIP
Programme oder Instant-Messager Programme. Stecken Sie nun den USB Stecker ihres B-Flex Lautsprechers
in einen freien funktionsfähigen USB Steckplatz in ihrem Computer. Ihr Computer sollte nun den B-Flex
automatisch erkennen und den erforderlichen Treiber (USB Audio Device) automatisch installieren. Der
B-Flex USB Lautsprecher verwendet die Standard USB Audio Treiber des Betriebssystems - Sie müssen dabei
keinen extra Treiber installieren. Bevor dem Entfernen dein B-Flex, Sie sollen alle mögliche Programme die
Ton produzieren auch schließen. Nie entfernen B-Flex, während es verwendet wird.
Verwendung des B-Flex mit Microsoft Windows®
Sie sollten eine Meldung angezeigt bekommen das der Computer das Audio Gerät erfolgreich installiert hat,
und das das Gerät zur Verwendung bereit steht. Eventuell wird auch ein kurzer Klang abgespielt. Nun können
sie ihren B-Flex USB Lautsprecher testen, indem Sie ein Programm laden, das Musik oder Sound abspielt.
Hören Sie die Soundausgabe aus ihrem B-Flex ist das Gerät funktionsfähig installiert und kann verwendet werden.
Falls sie keinen Sound hören, schließen Sie bitte alle Programme die einen Sound produzieren und gehen sie
auf START>Systemsteuerung>Sounds und Audiogeräte. Unter Lautstärke klicken sie auf “Erweitert“. Ein
neues Fenster “Eigenschaften von Sounds und Audiogeräten“ öffnet sich. Stellen sie sicher, dass die Geräte
Lautstärke nicht stumm gestellt ist und das der Schieberegeler nicht auf Minimum steht. Jetzt schließen sie
dieses Fenster. Im Fenster “Eigenschaften von Sounds und Aud iogeräte“ klicken sie bitte den “Audio“
Reiter oben und selektieren sie “USB Audio Gerät“ als Standardgerät der Soundwiedergabe. Nun klicken sie
bitte die „Übernehmen“ Schaltfläche und anschließend auf “OK“. Bitte probieren sie nun erneut die Sound
Wiedergabe mit einem beliebigen Audio Programm.
Falls immer noch kein Sound aus ihrem B-Flex zu hören ist, schalten Sie bitte Ihren Rechner aus. Stellen sie
sicher, das Gerät korrekt in einem USB Steckplatz eingesteckt ist. Starten sie ihren Rechner erneut und
wiederholen sie die Installations Prozedur.
Verwendung des B-Flex mit Mac OS®
Klicken Sie auf das Apple Icon in der oberen linken Ecke ihres Bildschirms. Klicken sie auf System
Einstellungen. In der Hardware Sektion klicken sie auf Sound. Im Sound Reiter klicken sie auf Ausgabe.
Klicken Sie auf “USB Audio Gerät“ als Gerät für die Sound Ausgabe. Heben sie nun die Lautstärke Regelung
auf das gewünschte Nivea an. Ihr B-Flex sollte nun funktionsfähig und zur Verwendung bereit sein.
Fehlerbehebung
Falls ihr B-Flex aufhören sollte zu Funktionieren, oder ihr Computer eine Audio Fehlermeldung ausgeben
sollte, schließen sie bitte alle Programme die Sound produzieren. Entfernen Sie dann den B-Flex aus dem
USB-Steckplatz, warten sie ein paar Sekunden und stecken sie ihn erneut in den Steckplatz. Falls ihr B-Flex
nun immer noch nicht funktionieren sollte, entfernen Sie ihn erneut und “rebooten“ Sie den computer.
Lassen sie den Computer volständig booten und schließen sie danach den B-Flex erneut an. Versuchen Sie
die andere USB, Vorrichtungen zu verschieben oder zu entfernen. Ihr B-Flex kann nicht genügend Energie
empfangen, wenn zu viele andere USB Vorrichtungen in der Nähe angeschlossen werden.
Vorsichtsmaßnahmen
- Halten sie ihren B-Flex USB Lautsprecher fern von Dreck, Sand, Flüssigkeiten, Hitze, Kälte, Feuchtigkeit,
Datenträgern und starken Magneten. Lassen sie ihn nicht fallen und vermeiden sie starke Erschütterungen.
- Wenden sie keine Gewalt beim Biegen des Schwanenhalses an und drehen sie den Lautsprecher nicht über
die Dreh-Sperre hinaus. Der B-Flex lässt sich um 340° drehen.
