The Vacuum Pump ECOM-P 4153 is designed for rapid and
neat emptying of semi-micro suction cuvettes and cuvettes
without a suction unit. The pump should be installed next to
the photometer and connected to a power outlet.
The ECOM-P 4153 consists of a power-operated corrosion-
proof membrane vacuum pump and a collecting vessel for
the aspirated liquids. 1 rectangular cuvette, 1 suction
cuvette, 2 holders for cuvettes and 1 suction tube can be
placed on top of the vacuum pump.
The lid of the collecting vessel has two-way valve with two
suction tubes which eases handling considerably.
If enzymes and substrates are determined alternately at a
manual workstation, one tube is used for emptying cuvettes
without a suction unit and the other for semi-micro suction
cuvettes. Simply turn the arrow on the two-way valve to the
suction tube being used and emptying can begin.
Time-consuming rearrangement of tubes is not necessary.
Cuvettes without suction unit
–
Switch on the suction pump. Place the tube with attached capillary tube from above into the
cuvette and aspirate.
Semi-micro suction cuvette
–
Connect the free tube end to the appropriate nozzle on the cuvette. Fasten the tube to the
tube holder on the photometer (if available).
–
To empty the semi-micro suction cuvette when the vacuum pump is switched on, close the
opening at the cuvette outlet with the infection preventive.
Note: The arrow on the two-way valve must point to the tube being used.
Collecting vessel
–
The collecting vessel must be emptied when the "max." mark is reached. Lift out the bottle
and turn the lower part until the lid can be removed.
