2. Intended use
Multi-position kit DPNC, DPNG:
Connection of two cylinders 5 to a three- or four-position cylinder.


Information

Connection of the cylinder 5:

Align axis

Opposite stroke direction.

3. Safety instructions and notes on mounting

Caution

Unexpected movement of components.
Injury due to electric shock, impact, squeezing.
 Switch off compressed air before assembly work.



Note

Malfunction and material damage due to incorrect assembly.
 Connect only cylinders 5 of the same type and piston diameter to each

other.

 Do not exceed the maximum overall stroke length ( table).
 Comply with tightening torques ( section 5).

Note

Material damage from dismounting.
Cover screws of cylinders 5 loosen unintentionally.
 Do not remove mounted unit comprising multi-position kit and cylin-

ders 5.



Note

The cylinder barrels perform a
movement with the fixed bear-
ing (mounting) at one piston
rod and movable bearing at
the other.

 Mount movable tubing

connectors.

Three-position cylinder:

 Connect 2 cylinders 5 of

the same stroke length.

 Connect 2 cylinders 5 of

different stroke length.

4. Assembly

 Clean joint surfaces (A)

and (B).
Check:
Joint surfaces (A) and (B) lie
flat.

 Align air connections (C).

 Apply adhesive 4 to the

ends to be screwed in of the
threaded pins 3.

 Screw threaded pins 3 into

the threaded holes (D).
Comply with screw-in
depth t (

 table).

 Apply adhesive 4 to the

ends of the threaded
pins 3.

 Place flange 1 on the

threaded pins 3.

 Tighten hex nuts 2 on the

threaded pins 3.

 Apply adhesive 4 to the

ends to be screwed in of the
threaded pins 3.

 Screw threaded pins 3 into

the threaded holes (D).
Comply with screw-in
depth t (

 table).

 Apply adhesive 4 to the

ends of the threaded
pins 3.

 Do not push threaded

pins 3 into the flange holes
completely.
Check:
Hex nuts 2 can still be put
on.

 Fix hex nuts 2 on the

threaded pins 3
(1/2 rotation).

 Tighten hex nuts 2.
