The intended purpose of the connecting cable 1 is to connect the DFPI linear
drive unit to a control cabinet via the flange socket 6.

Warning

Danger of injury due to electric shock and uncontrolled movement of compo-
nents!

Only install or dismantle in an unpressurized state and ensure that the
electrical power is switched off.

2. Shortening the connecting cable 1

If the supplied standard length is too long:

Shorten the protective conduit (A), the tubes (B) and the cable (C) to the
desired length.

Make sure that afterwards the tubes (B) and the cable (C)

– are longer than the protective conduit (A) ( Section 5.)
– are not damaged.

Strip the cable (C) and equip the conductors with wire end sleeves
that are not insulated (0.75 mm²).

Note

In the case of a connecting cable 1 NHSB-...-LE3-...:
the wires 4 and 5 in the cable (C) are not required.

Shorten the wires 4 and 5 and secure them with a shrinkage tube.

3. Dismantling the flange socket 6

18208d_19

Unscrew the screws 7.

Turn over the flange socket 6.

Make sure that the O-rings (J)/(K) do not get lost.

4. Mounting to the DFPI linear drive

18208d_1

Press the unlocking device (D) in the direction of the push-in fitting 2 and
pull out the protective conduit (A).

18208d_2

Hold the sleeve 3 tightly and turn the push-in fitting 2.

18208d_3

Hold the tubes (B) and the cable (C) tightly and pull the sleeve 3 from the
seal 4 in the direction of the arrow.

18208d_4

Now unroll the connecting cable completely.

Pull the tubes (B) and the cable (C) out sufficiently so they reach into the
push-in connectors (E).

Guide the tubes (B) and the cable (C) through the thread into the flange
socket 6.

18208d_5

Slide the tubes (B) into the push-in connectors (E1/E2) up to the stop.

dependent on the type of flange socket 6

18208d_6

Guide the cable (C) out of the opening of the flange socket 6. Make sure
that the cable sheath of the cable (C) reaches into the flange socket 6.

18208d_8

Tighten the sleeve 3.

Observe the permissible tightening torque.

Slide the moulded seal 4 into the sleeve 3 so that it is flush with the
holding claws (F).

18208d_9

Make sure that the O-rings (J)/(K) are correctly seated ( Section 3.).

Hold the flange socket 6 with the opening (G) at an angle to the drive
unit.

Plug the pin strips and socket strips (H) together.

Tighten the 2 screws (I).

Observe the permissible tightening torque.

18208d_10

Note

In order to avoid operative malfunctions and material damage.

Make sure that the cable (C) is not clamped in.

Place the flange socket 6 on the drive unit.

Tighten the screws 7. Observe the permitted tightening torque
( relevant operating instructions for the linear drive unit).

18208d_11

Turn the push-in fitting 2 onto the sleeve 3.

Observe the permissible tightening torque.

18208d_12

Slide the protective conduit (A) up to the stop into the push-in fitting 2.

5. Mounting to the control cabinet

18208d_17

Mount the push-in fitting 2, the moulded seal 4 and the sleeve 3 onto
the protective conduit (A) in the depicted sequence.

Note

In order to avoid leaks:

Mount the moulded seal 4
