Installing the expansion cards

How to mount the expansion cards:
1. Disconnect the mains cable
0 and all external connections.
2. Remove the device from the control cabinet wall and place it on a table horizontally
with the screws
1 facing upwards.
3. Open the housing:
– Loosen the two screws

– Carefully remove the housing cover 2 forward.
4. If the device is equipped with a UPS, disconnect the battery pack (
¶ 55).
5. Remove the retention clip

– Disconnect the fan connector

– Loosen the two screws 5 and turn the retention clip upwards.
6. Insert the expansion card:
– Remove the bracket of the desired slot

– Slightly press the expansion card into the socket connector on the mainboard from
the top. In doing this, the mainboard may not be bent!
– Make sure that the card is positioned in the socket connector correctly.
– Tighten the bracket of the expansion card.
7. Mount the retention clip

– Turn the retention clip downwards and secure it by means of the screw

– Plug in the fan connector

8. Securing the expansion card with a plastic bar
– For procedure see the following illustration.
– Only secure the expansion card slightly; it may not be bent!
– The plastic bar and locating screws are included in the scope of supply, but can
also be ordered separately.


9. If the device is equipped with a UPS, connect the battery pack (

10. Close the housing:
– Carefully place the housing cover
