Description of Sunny Data
Sunny Data is a software for monitoring and configuring Sunny Boy, Sunny Mini Central or Windy Boy inverters.
Additionally, it allows you to change the parameters of your Sunny Boy, Sunny Mini Central or Windy Boy.
Requirements for a connection of a Sunny Boy, Sunny Mini Central or Windy Boy with a PC
• PC with Sunny Data and a spare
COM-Port
• RS232 service cable
How to install the RS232 Service Cable
1.
Disconnect the Sunny Boy, Sunny Mini Central or Windy Boy from AC voltage. This is done with the fuse on
the household distribution, or by removing the AC-plug from the Sunny Boy, Sunny Mini Central or Windy
Boy.
2.
Disconnect the DC-side from the Sunny Boy, Sunny Mini Central or Windy Boy.
Some inverters require that you take the lid off in order to disconnect the DC voltage. Never dis-
connect the PV voltage when the Sunny Boy, Sunny Mini Central or Windy Boy
is feeding to
the grid! Always disconnect the AC side first.
Wait for 30 minutes for internal voltages to discharge before you proceed.
3.
Remove the screws of the lid and remove the lid carefully and disconnect the yellow-green PE-cable.
