6.1 Switching the appliance on and off

1. Insert the power supply plug into a wall

socket that complies with the technical
data (see “3. Technical data” on
page 4).
The power indicator will light up as soon
as the appliance is connected to the
power supply 5.

2. Switch the appliance on by turning the

control knob 1 to the required function:

: Fan running without heater

I: Heater running at level 1 (750 watts)
II: Heater running at level 2 (1,500 watts)
Note The artificial flame 3 lights up with
all three functions.

3. Move the control knob 1 to "0" to switch

off the appliance.

4. If you are not using the appliance for a

long period, pull the power supply plug
out. This is the only way to cut off all
power to the appliance.

The power indicator will go out as soon
as the power supply plug is removed 5.

6.2 Thermal cut-out

For your safety the appliance has a thermal
cut-out.
If the temperature inside the appliance
becomes too high, the appliance switches
off automatically:
1. Remove the power supply plug.
2. Allow the appliance to cool down for

20 minutes.

3. Check whether the air inlet at the rear or

air outlet 4 is obstructed and remove the
cause.

4. You can then continue to operate it

normally.

If you cannot establish a cause and the fault
occurs repeatedly, have the appliance
repaired or else take it out of use.
