Measurement (online graph)

Using the online graph window it is easy to check
whether the values for Xp and Ki have been
determined successfully, or whether further cor-
rections are necessary.

It is only possible to change the values in the "Test
/ AutoTune" window once the Online graph win-
dow has been closed again. Then you can type
new values in the Xp and Ki boxes.

Applying the values in the program

Once suitable values have been found, they must
be entered in the programming window in the
related boxes; to perform this action you must
close the "Test / AutoTune" window.

Before you can enter the values, a
new line (new segment) must be

inserted, the new line will contain some default
values so that the number format to be used is
clear. The values can then be entered in the
related boxes. For this purpose, click a box
(changes to green) and enter the new value. If you
enter incorrect values, the box background will
change to violet.
An incorrect desired temperature entry will not be
reported, as the pyrometer can be changed after
programming. The measuring range for the con-
nected pyrometer is, however, displayed in the title
bar.

You can transfer the values from the programming window to the PI 6000 by clicking "Apply".

When a control program is started, all parameters
in a line are used for control and the segments are
worked through in order. Up to 20 lines (seg-
ments) can be inserted, each with the data neces-
sary for a control section. For this purpose, click
"Append line" as necessary to add a new segment
after the last segment, "Insert line" to insert a
segment before a marked line and "Delete line" to
delete a marked line.

In this way a programmed sequence can be
prepared that can be adapted to the specific
situation (see example on right).
