HDMI Connection
Connecting an HDMI cable guarantees very good playback quality.

With HDMI, you can transmit both video and audio data.
1. Plug the HDMI connector into the socket on the back of the unit.
2. Plug the HDMI connector into the corresponding socket of your

playback unit.

In Stop Mode,

select the “HD” setting by repeatedly pressing the VIDEO

button (Fig. 3/26).

Composite-Video
Composite-Video is used to transmit only Video data.
1. Plug the Composite-Video jack into the socket on the back of the

player.

2. Plug the Composite-Video jack into the corresponding socket on

your playback device.

You can choose from two transmission methods for audio signals.
You must generally choose first whether you would like to have the

sound coming from your TV, or through a Stereo-Amplifier. The Audio

cable must then be connected to the TV or an amplifier accordingly.

NOTE:

If your amplifier is equipped with a digital output, you should use the

amplifier. You will experience a much better audio quality, and the

installation is much easier.

playback device or your amplifier.
1. Plug the Audio jacks into the sockets on the back of the player.
2. Plug the Audio jacks into the corresponding sockets on your play-

back device or your amplifier.

Digital

your playback device or your amplifier.
1. Plug the Audio jack into the socket on the back of the player.
2. Plug the Audio jack into the corresponding socket on your playback

device or your amplifier.
