To set the energy absorption of the shock absorber 4:

14513d_7

Energy absorption complete:
 Screw the shock ab-

sorber 4 in until flush.

Energy absorption reduced:
 Screw in the shock ab-

sorber 4 correspondingly
deeper. Then the ring sur-
face of the reducing
sleeve 1 serves as a stop.

Locking the shock absorber 4:

Note

The spanner flats are used
only for precision adjustment.
Counter holding at the spanner
flats when locking the shock
absorber 4 results in defor-
mation of the reducing
sleeve 1:
 Avoid counter holding at the

spanner flats when locking
the shock absorber 4.

 If possible, clamp the reduc-

ing sleeve into a prism at
the locked lock nuts 2.

 Lock the shock absorber 4

with the counterpart 3.

 Maintain the permissible tightening torque M

A

of the counterpart 3

(

 table).

3. Mounting

14513d_8

 Turn or push the reducing

sleeve 1 into the intended
opening until the end posi-
tion is reached.

 Fasten the reducing

sleeve 1 with the lock
nut 2 or clamping compo-
nent 5, depending on your
installation type.

 Observe the permissible
