3.1 8" Woofers

Proceed as follows to replace the 8" speaker:
• Unfasten and remove the grille’s four Phillips head screws on the housing’s

left and right panels.

• Lift the grille towards you to carefully disengage it from its frame.
• Unfasten the four Torx T25 screws from the right 8” speaker’s chassis to

remove it.

• Unfasten and remove the ten Torx T25 screws on the baffle board.
• Use the 4-mm Allen wrench to unfasten and remove the three hex head screws

in the baffle board.

• Use the 4-mm Allen wrench to unfasten and remove the three each hex head

screws securing the quick-release pins on the left and right panels.

• Unfasten and remove the two each Torx T25 screws on the left and right panels

and detach the panels from the housing.

• Remove the entire baffle board from the housing and disconnect the wires.
• Place the dismantled baffle board face down on a surface where it won’t slide

around while you’re working.

• Unfasten and remove the 8” speaker’s four Torx T25 screws.
• Now that the speaker is detachable, disconnect the speaker wires.

When installing and connecting a replacement speaker, ensure that the polarity
is correct!
A red dot marks the 8” speaker’s positive terminal.

3.2 The 1" Drivers’ Voice Coils

Proceed as follows to replace the voice coil:
• Unfasten and remove the grille’s four Phillips head screws on the housing’s

left and right panels.

• Lift the grille towards you to carefully remove it from its frame.
• Unfasten and remove the ten Torx T25 screws on the baffle board.
• Use the 4-mm Allen wrench to unfasten and remove the three hex head screws

in the baffle board.

• Use the 4-mm Allen wrench to unfasten and remove the three each hex head

screws securing the quick-release pins on the left and right panels.

• Unfasten and remove the two each Torx T25 screws on the left and right panels

and detach the panels from the housing.

• Remove the entire baffle board from the housing and disconnect the wires.
• Place the dismantled baffle board face down on a soft surface where it won’t

slide around while you’re working.

• Unfasten and remove the defective HF driver‘s four Phillips head screws.

Now that the HF driver is detachable, disconnect the speaker wires.
Remove the HF driver and turn it so the magnet faces down.
• Unfasten and remove the four Phillips head screws on the HF driver’s flange.
• Lift the HF driver’s flange and remove it from the magnet. Now you can

detach the voice coil unit and install a replacement part.

Note: The two HF drivers are wired in series!

Important note: Replace the voice coil in a clean working environment only. Be
sure to keep dust and dirt out of the open driver. If despite your precautions
particles manage to get in, use a strip of adhesive tape to remove them or care-
fully blow compressed air into the back of the driver to whisk the particles out.
When installing the new voice coil, ensure it is centered properly.
