Switching between coded and uncoded transmis-
sion.
16 coded channels and one uncoded channel are availa-
ble. You can switch between the coded channels by
pressing the button on the front of the chest strap. Pres-
sing the button for 10 seconds automatically switches
the device to the uncoded channel. Pressing the button
again switches the device back to the coded channels.
iPhone:
To see which channel the chest strap is currently
using, select the “Settings” menu on your iPhone, fol-
lowed by “Heart Rate settings”, “runtastic Receiver
with Chest Strap”. If a coded channel is being used,
a number is displayed on the botton side of the dis-
play. If the uncoded channel is being used, “uncoded”
is displayed. To switch channels, press the button on
the chest strap as detailed above to change the chan-
nel and then re-select “Re-pair”; your smartphone will
then re-connect to the chest strap on the new channel.
Android operating systems:
To see which channel the chest strap is currently
using, select the “Settings” menu on your Andro-
id smartphone, followed by “Heart Rate Settings”,
“Sensor channel”. If a coded channel is being used,
a number is displayed. If the uncoded channel is
being used, “uncoded” is displayed. If you switch
channels, you must firstly break the connection by
selecting “No pulse connection”. Now switch trans-
mission channel as described by pressing the button
on the chest strap. Then select “Receiver and chest
strap (5.3 kHz)” again. Your smartphone will re-con-
nect with the chest strap on the new channel.
BlackBerry:
To see which channel the chest strap is currently using,
select the “Settings” menu on your BlackBerry smart-
phone, followed by “Heart Rate Settings”, “Sensor
channel”. If a coded channel is being used, a number
is displayed. If the uncoded channel is being used,
“uncoded” is displayed. To switch channels, press the
button on the chest strap as detailed above to change
the channel and then re-select “Connect chest strap”;
your smartphone will then re-connect to the chest strap
on the new channel.
