for the Fire service Helmet H1000

www.bullardextrem.com

Thank you for choosing a fire service helmet from Bullard.
Protection helmets are an integral element of personal safety equipment and help
prevent, or at least reduce, head injuries.
Please spare some time to read the following information so you can properly adjust
your helmet. It has been written with both your safety and comfort in mind.

Head size, size adjustment and weight

The helmet can be adjusted infinitely to any head size from 52 –64 cm.
Total weight with no accessories is approx. 950g.
First adjust the size range on the headband.

H1000 model with pin lock

Loosen both ends of the headband from one another and move them to the required
size.
Then press the two end pieces firmly onto the pins again.

Adjusting the

headband height

You DO NOT have to remove the
suspension in order to vertically adjust
the height. The 4-pt. suspension has
two vertical positions: high and low.
A custom fit can be accomplished by
simply pulling the key peg out and
inserting it into the desired slot height
position on the headband.

Chin strap

Adjust the strap so that two fingers
can fit between the strap and chin.
Always fasten the loose end of the belt strap.
Put on your helmet and locate the female portion of the strap buckle A. Slide the strap
through the loop in the back of the helmet until the buckle rests roughly 1.5 cm below
your ear. Make sure that both sides of the strap leading into the buckle lay flat against
one another.
Find the male portion of the buckle. It should also be placed roughly 1.5 cm below the
ear, and both straps leading to this buckle should lay flat against one another.
Close the snap lock and adjust the belt length via the loose end of the looped-round belt
strap C on the snap lock.
The helmet meets standard requirements on retention system effectiveness and
strength as long as the chin strap is adjusted as mentioned above and 2 fingers fit in
between chin strap and chin.
