Microsoft Proxy Server configuration (for Internet Access)
You can use Microsoft Proxy Server to provide Internet Access for computers in
the LAN.

The Internet connection wizard is designed to help users connect to an Internet
Service Provider (ISP) using an analog modem; all the telephone numbers in the
wizard are for analog modem access. Therefore, you should not use the Proxy
Server configuration wizard; rather, you should get more information from an ISP
that provides ISDN access before you configure Proxy Server.
You also need to do the following:
• Configure the properties provided by your ISP. Some ISPs provide different
dial-up numbers for analog modem access and ISDN access. Make sure you
use the dial-up number for ISDN access.
• Adjust the inactivity time-out according to the charging period implemented
by your ISDN Service Provider.
• Specify TCP/IP as the dial-out protocol in the RAS configuration.
Modem Sharing Server configuration
After you complete the DIVA for Windows NT featuring SBS installation, two
modem pools are created. The pool “Eicon” contains two fax modems, and the
pool “Modem” contains two analog modems.
You need to configure the Modem Sharing Server modem pools with the DIVA
“virtual modems” you want to make available to clients. The virtual modems you
choose depend on the services you want to make available to clients.
Note Modem Pooling supports four modems only.
