Setting up the grill

Attention Risk of damage!

Any screwed connections may gradually loosen dur-
ing use and affect the stability of the grill.

– Before use, always check that the screws are secure. If nec-

essary, tighten all screws again in order to ensure that the
grill has a stable position.

• Before use, place the grill on a level, solid base located out-

doors.

Before grilling

Wash the grill rack and spit with warm scouring water before you
use them for the first time.

Use

Danger Burn Hazard!

The barbecue, the charcoal it contains, and the food
to be grilled become very hot when used such that

any contact may result in severe burns.

– Maintain adequate distance to hot parts as any contact may

result in very severe burns.

– Always wear barbecue and kitchen gloves when grilling.

– Only take hold of the lid by the handle.

– Only use long-stemmed grilling tools with heat-resistant han-

dles.

– Do not wear any clothing with baggy arms.

– Only use dry firestarters or special liquid firestarters in ac-

cordance with EN 1860-3 to light the grill.

1. Remove the grill rack (k).

2. Place 3–4 solid firestarter blocks in the fire trough. Observe

the manufacturer notes on the packaging. Light the firestart-
ers with a match.

3. Spread no more than 2.5 kg of charcoal or briquettes

around the firestarter.

4. The grill requires about 30 minutes to heat up before being

used for the first time.

5. As soon as the charcoals have burned through, spread them

evenly in the fire trough. Use a suitable fireproof tool with a
long, fireproof handle for this.

6. See Fig. 9:

Hook the grill rack (k) in using the handles (l). In the proc-
ess, select a position that considers the amount of heat pro-
duced by the charcoal so that your food is cooked properly.

7. See Fig. 10:

If you want to grill your food on a spit, screw it on the spit (o)
and secure it on the meat hook (n). Slip on the handle (m).

8. Only place the food on the grill once the charcoal has a

layer of ash.

9. See Fig. 12:

Adjust the air flow slider (4) to regulate the amount of heat.

After grilling/storage

1. Wait until the fuel has burned off and the grill has cooled off.

Then place the grill rack (k) in the fire trough (e).

2. See Fig. 13:

Loosen the wing nut (p), remove the screw (1) and fold the
side parts (h) to the inside.
Then screw the wing nut (p) onto the connecting sheet with
the screw (1).

3. See Fig. 14:

Fold the connecting sheets (g) into the hood and screw them
securely into place so that their position cannot change.

4. Close the hood.

Maintenance and cleaning

Your grill is made of high-quality materials. Please observe the
following notes in order to clean and maintain the surfaces:

Danger Burn Hazard!

Allow the grill to cool off completely before cleaning
it.

– Dispose of the ashes once the charcoal has burned down

completely and is out.

Danger Health hazard!

Do not use any dye solvents or thinners to remove
stains. They are hazardous to health and must not

come in contact with food.

Attention Risk of damage!

Do not use any strong or abrasive solvents or scouring
pads as they may attack and scratch the surfaces.

• Let the charcoal burn down after grilling. This helps reduce

the amount of cleaning required by burning off excess fat and
residues from grilling.

• Remove the ash plate (i) and let all the leftover ashes fall

through the opening into the ash collector (d).

• Empty any cold ashes and clean the grill regularly, ideally

every time after you use it.

• Remove the grill rack and spit and clean both parts thorough-

ly with scouring water. Then dry them thoroughly.

• Remove any loose deposits on the grill using a wet sponge.
• Use a soft, clean cloth for drying. Do not scratch the surface

by rubbing it in a dry state.

• Clean the inside and outside of the grill with warm soap wa-

ter.

• Regularly tighten all screws before using the grill to ensure

that the grill has a stable position.
