Switch the device on/off
On the device
♦ Press and hold down the button ( ) for approx. 2 seconds to switch
on the device.
♦ Press the button ( ) again for approx. 2 seconds to switch off the device.
With the remote control
♦ Press the button ( ) to switch on the device.
♦ Press the button ( ) again to switch off the device.
Connecting a playback device
You can connect a wide variety of playback devices to this device, for
example MP3 or CD players. Please refer to the operating instructions of
the respective device. Switch off all devices before connecting them.
NOTE
► When playing back music via the AUX connections, the ( + ),
( + ) and ( + ) buttons on the unit and the remote
control are inactive. Use the Play/Pause and skip functions on the
external playback device that you have connected.
► Before starting playback, set a moderate volume. When you reach
the maximum volume, you will hear a signal and the volume can no
longer be increased.
Connecting a playback device using a 3.5 mm jack cable
♦ Connect the line-out connector of the external device (e.g. headphone socket)
via a 3.5 mm jack cable to the AUX 1 socket on the rear of the device.
♦ To switch on the device, press the button ( or ).
♦ Press the FUNCTION button on the device or the AUX button on
the remote control repeatedly until
AUX
appears on the display .
♦ Switch on the connected playback device and start playback.
Connecting a playback device using a cinch cable
♦ Connect the audio input jacks R and L on the rear of the device using
an audio cinch cable with the corresponding audio output sockets on the
external audio device. Make sure that the red and white colour markings
correspond.
