Other equipment
In addition to the items that are included in the Ethernet Routing Switch
8310 and 8306 chassis accessory package you must also supply other
items. Before you install the hardware, ensure that you have all the cables,
tools, and other equipment that you need. The following sections describe
the equipment you must supply:

Management console
To configure startup options and to monitor the results of startup
diagnostics, you can attach an optional PC, or laptop, VT-100 console or
an equivalent, such as a PC terminal emulator.
