3. Tips for a fruitful success:

• If you use soft fruit, the fruit should be completely ripe, do not pull the peduncles.
• Soft fruit and stone fruit with hard paring has to be cut before use.
• Do not peel rhubarb, only cut it in small pieces.
• Cut apples and pears in small pieces.
• Pull the peduncles of sour cherries but do not core them.
• Mix sweet cherries half and half with sour cherries or currents because otherwise the

juice lacks flavour.
