Fit the Y-piece chuck.

The left Y-chuck and the small base-plate are mounted

on the left side of the machine.

Adjust the left Y-chuck on the fulcrum pins, set it to the

required angle and bolt it into place afterwards.

The right Y-chuck together with the large base-plate

must also be secured in place. Set it up to the required
angle and then bolt the chuck on

Both pipes must be cut as shown with matching

tolerances in order to prepare them for the initial
welding. Fit the pipe in the pre-installed chuck and

then clamp it in place.

The chuck must be changed again after the milling and
welding process has been completed.

Remove the Y-chuck from the small base-plate and
mount it on the large base-plate. Note the angle

setting. Fit the left chuck on the left table plate and
prepare the relevant position for the milling and welding
processes (depends on the Y-piece, i.e. 45° or 60°).

Pipe preparation:

- Cut to mitres (depends on the Y-piece):

45° gives a cutting angle of 22.5°

60° gives a cutting angle of 30°

Align the cut pipes and clamp them in place. Run the
milling and welding processes.

Weld the two pieces of pipe together in accordance with the Y-piece pressure table

Note! Do not over-mill the pipe cut at an angle (right side)! Use single-side milling if
necessary.

3.3.8 Additional
