2.3 Additional safety instructions for instruments per ATEX

Non-observance of these instructions and their contents
may result in the loss of explosion protection.
WARNING!
■ Observe the applicable regulations for the use
of Ex-class instruments (e. g.: EN 60079-0:
2006, EN 60079-11: 2007, EN 60079-26: 2007,
EN 60079-27: 2006 + 2008, EN 61241-0: 2006,
EN 61241-11: 2006, EN 60079-15: 2005).
■ Do not use transmitters with any damage to the exterior!
■ Do not configure the transmitter, programming unit
(PU-448) and PC in hazardous areas!
2.4 Special hazards
WARNING!
Observe the information given in the applicable type
examination certificate and the relevant country-
specific regulations for installation and use in potentially
explosive atmospheres (e.g. IEC 60079-14, NEC, CEC).
Non-observance can result in serious injury and/or
damage to the equipment.

with ATEX approval, see chapter 8 “Information on
mounting and operation in hazardous areas (Europe)”.
WARNING!
For hazardous media such as oxygen, acetylene,
flammable or toxic gases or liquids, and refrigeration
plants, compressors, etc., in addition to all standard
