REPLACING THE CARBON FILTER

The carbon filter helps to reduce the
odours inside the fridge limiting the risk
of unwanted aroma in sensitive food.
New active air filters can be purchased
from your local dealer.
• The air filter is placed behind the flap
and can be reached by pulling the
flap outward (1)
• pull out of the slot the exhausted air
filter.
• insert the new air filter in the slot (2)
• close the flap.
The air filter is a consumable accessory
and as such is not covered by the guar-
antee.
During the operation, always keep the
air ventilation flap closed.
The air filter should be handled careful-
ly to prevent its surface from being
scratched.
DEFROSTING OF THE
REFRIGERATOR
Defrosting of the fridge compartment is
automatic.
The water that forms flows into a recipi-
ent on the compressor and evaporates.
This recipient cannot be removed.
DEFROSTING THE FREEZER
A certain amount of frost will always
form on the freezer shelves and around
the top compartment.
Defrost the freezer when the frost layer
reaches a thickness of about 3-5 mm.
About 12 hours prior to defrost-
ing, set the Temperature regula-
tor toward higher settings , in
order to build up sufficient chill
reserve for the interruption in
operation.
To remove the frost, follow the instruc-
tions below:
1. Switch off the appliance.
2. Remove any stored food, wrap it in
several layers of newspaper and
put it in a cool place.
CAUTION!
Do not touch frozen goods with
wet hands. Hands can freeze to
the goods.
3. Leave the door open .
In order to speed up the de-
frosting process, place a pot of
warm water in the freezer com-
partment. In addition, remove
pieces of ice that break away
before defrosting is complete.
4. When defrosting is completed, dry
the interior thoroughly.
5. Switch on the appliance.
6. After two or three hours, reload the
previously removed food into the
compartment.
