PEDALTONE II PANEL FUNCTIONS

[1] VOLUME: Controls the volume level of the Clean
channel (CH1).

[2] BASS & TREBLE: Classic passive tone controls
that regulate low and high frequencies of the Clean
channel (CH1).

[3] GAIN: Controls the amount of distortion in the
Overdrive channel (CH2).

[4] VOLUME: Controls the volume level of the
Overdrive channel (CH2).

[5] BASS, MID & TREBLE: Classic post-distortion
passive tone controls that regulate low, mid and high
frequencies of the Overdrive channel (CH2).

[6] RHYTHM VOLUME: If this control is activated with
the Rhythm/Solo switch [13], it functions as a master
volume and can be used to preset a lower Rhythm
volume.

[7] SOLO VOLUME: If this control is activated with the
Rhythm/Solo switch [13], it functions as a master
volume and can be used to preset a higher Solo
volume.

[8] OTS DRIVE: This DRIVE knob controls the amount
of (output tube) distortion of the OTS circuit.

[9] OTS VOLUME: Controls the volume level of the
OTS circuit.

NOTE: OTS stands for Output Tube Saturation. The
Pedaltone II is equipped with a 0.5 Watt all-tube power
amp, not for driving any speakers but pure for creating
new harmonic structures. This unique feature enables
you to add real tube-power-amp distortion to all your
sounds, clean as well as distorted! If CH1 is on, you
can create nice and musical saturation of clean tones;

in CH2-5 you can really fatten up all your crunchy or
even your high-gain distortion tones.
If the OTS is activated the small tube-power-amp is
placed in the signal path, like it was plugged in as an
effects unit in an effects loop.

[10] CH1/CH2: Selects between the Clean channel
(CH1) and the Overdrive channel (CH2). The red LED
indicates that the Overdrive channel is active.

[11]
CH2-BOOST:
If the Overdrive channel (CH2) is active
[10], this switch selects medium Gain or high Gain. The
red LED indicates that the high Gain is active.

NOTE: If CH2 BOOST is on, squealing and/or
excessive hum and noise may occur, due to
microphonic guitar pick-ups and/or insufficient
screening of guitar circuitry.

CH1-ENHANCE: If the Clean channel (CH1) is active
[10], this switch activates an ENHANCER on the Clean
sound, only if the mode switch [18] is in the upper
position. The red LED indicates that the Enhancer is
active.
An ENHANCER is a filter that cuts the mids and boosts
the high-end. Sounds great for rhythm and open
chords.

[12] OTS: This switch places the OTS circuit in the
signal path, the yellow LED indicates that the OTS
circuit is active.

[13] RHYTHM/SOLO: Selects the Rhythm volume [6] or
the Solo volume [7] control. The green LED indicates
that the Solo volume control is active.

[14] TO POWER AMP: For connecting the
PEDALTONE II to an external seperate (19") power
amp with 0dBV input level.
