Vacuum Plate
The vacuum plate is machined from
hard anodized aluminium alloy. The
surface is ground.
Vacuum Areas
The vaccum plate is partitioned into
two zones - A4 and A3 - to enable
the machine to be used to apply
coatings to both large and small test
charts. The vacuum area A3 for use
with large charts measures 420 x
300 mm. The smaller area A
measures 240 x 180 mm. The area
required is selected using the
Zone Selection Key
Test charts that neither fit A4/A3
can also be used when covering the
perforations in the vacuum bed with
adhesive tape.
Traverse of carriage
The traverse of carriage pushes the
applicator over the coating surface.
This traverse of carriage is suitable
for all applicator types.
If for any reason the carriage is
moved to one of its end stops
(either left or right) the word "END"
will be shown on the LED display.
To reset the instrument, swich it off
at the mains power supply and
carefully slide the carriage to
approximately the centre position.
Switch on the mains power and
depress the "RETURN" keyswitch.
The carriage should return to its
normal starting position.
