Maintenance
Maintenance in-
terval Irrespective of the usage and environmental conditions, maintenance must be carried out
regularly, at least once a year, and must be documented accordingly.
Maintenance ac-
tivities 1. Check the hinges of the doors for ease of movement and spray with a suitable, water-
free lubricant.
2. Check the lock for ease of movement. Spray all moving lock parts with a suitable, wa-
ter-free lubricant.
3. Where damaged, completely replace seals in the area of contact edges.
4. Common products such as talcum powder, Vaseline or wax can be used to prevent
damage caused by the seals freezing at low temperatures.
Examine all components and surfaces for external damage.
5. Repair any damage to the coating as follows:
–
Small cases of damage affecting only one part of the surface (e.g. scratches):
gently sand down the surface at the site of the damage and remove all traces of
corrosion and all dirt.
Depending on the extent of the damage, apply touch-up paint (2K-PUR acrylic
paint), using either a touch-up stick, a paintbrush or a paint cartridge.
– Large areas of damage:
rub down the surface evenly and clean with white spirit; then paint over the entire
surface with touch-up paint (2K-PUR acrylic paint).
