Removing / inserting the
battery
1. To remove the battery ( 10)
from the appliance, press the
release button ( 11) on the bat-
tery and pull out the battery.
2. To insert the battery ( 10),
place it on the guide track and
push it back into the appliance.
It will audibly snap in.
Recharging the battery
1. Remove the battery ( 10) from
the appliance.
2. Inser the battery ( 10) in the
charging compartment of the bat-
tery charger ( 7).
3. Plug the battery charger ( 7)
into a mains outlet.
4. When the battery is fully re-
charged unplug the battery
charger ( 7) from the mains.
5. Pull the battery ( 10)out of the
battery charger ( 7).

Used batteries
• If a fully recharged battery lasts for
considerably shorter operating times,
the battery is used up and needs to be
replaced. Only use an OEM battery
pack replacement available from our
Customer Service.
• Always take heed of the applicable
safety instructions as well as the envi-
ronmental protection regulations and
information (see “Cleaning and Main-
tenance”).
Checking the battery charge
level
The battery’s charge level ( 5) is indicat-
ed by the charge state indicator ( 10).
Press the activation button battery indicator
on the battery.
The LEDs indicate the battery’s charge
level.

red and yellow =Battery half charged
red =Battery needs to be charged
Assembling
Attaching the belt clip
Attach the belt clip ( 4) either to the right
or left-hand side of the base of the device.
The belt clip ( 4) fits into the recess in the
housing. Fasten the belt clip ( 4) with the
screw supplied.
