Application areas and function
This family of miniature controllers, in combination with
proportional valves, serves to control
• Liquid flow in piping
(Flow rate controller 8623-2)
• Pressure in liquids and
(Pressure controller 8624-2)
flowing gases
• Mixing temperature of
(Temperature controller 8625-2)
two media
• Suitable for proportional valves
types 6022, 6023, 6223, 2832, 2834
• Controller with adjustable PI control behaviour
• Direct installation on the valve, thanks to compact design of
device
• Direct actuation of a proportional valve
• Setpoint specification via standard signal 4-20 mA / 0-10 V
• Scaling
• Measurement of flow rate by means of a flow rate sensor with
frequency output (frequency proportional to flow rate)
• For flow rate sensors with frequency output of max. 1000 Hz
• Proportional control
• Measurement of the pressure by means of a pressure
transmitter with standard output signal
• Measurement of the temperature by means of a PT 100 sensor
• Heating / cooling

Safety notes
ATTENTION!
• Observe the general technical regulations when planning
application and operation of the unit!
• Take precautions to avoid inadvertent actuation or
unwanted interference!
• Pipelines and valves under pressure must not be
disconnected!
• Always isolate the voltage supply before working on the
system!
• If this instruction is not followed, or if any inadmissible
tampering with the appliance takes place, we will accept no
further liability, and the guarantee on the appliance and its
accessories will become invalid!
ATTENTION
EXERCISE CAUTION ON HANDLING!
ELECTROSTATICALLY SENSITIVE
COMPONENTS / MODULES
This device contains electronic components that are sensitive to
electrostatic discharge (ESD). Contact to electrostatically
charged persons or objects will endanger these components. In
the worst case, they will be immediately destroyed or will fail after
commissioning. Observe the requirements of EN 100 015 - 1 in
order to minimize the possibility of, or avoid, damage from
instantaneous electrostatic discharge. Also take care not to touch
components that are under supply voltage.
