The machine may not be modified in
any way!
Operation of the machine is prohibited
if modifications are undertaken.
FAULT CHECKLIST:
If the machine does not work, check the following
points:
- is the mains plug connected to the mains?
- is the main switch (1) switched on?
- is the door closed?
- is the bin pushed in?
- is the bin full?
The bin must be emptied.
- has the cutter been overloaded?
Follow the instructions under “OVERLOAD OF
THE CUTTING UNIT”
- has the motor been overloaded?
See description under “MOTOR FAULT”
- has a phase failed?
Check the three phase fuses on the mains
socket and replace if necessary.
If you still cannot isolate the fault or
other faults are statable, the machine
shouldn’t be operated. Please report
to / notify our customer service de-
partment.
The machine must be turned off at the
main switch (1) (fig. 2) and unplugged
before the machine is opened.
OVERLOAD OF THE CUTTING UNIT
(Auto-Reverse function)
If the cutter is overloaded, for example due to
feeding in unsuitable materials, the machine
reacts as follows:
- The cutter is blocked, then runs backwards
briefly (material is released) and stops. The
motor is switched off. The pilot lamp II (5)
flashes.
Proceed as follows:
- Remove the remaining material from the feed
tubes.
- Briefly turn the keyswitch (2) (Fig. 2) to the
right to Stop and then return to Start. The pilot
lamp II (5) (Fig. 2) goes out. The cutter runs in
continuous operating mode and processes the
material remaining in the cutter.
- Turn the keyswitch (2) (Fig. 2) to the left to
Stop. Compacting via the light barrier function
can be continued.
Note: If the cutter is blocked again by non-
compactable material in the cutter, the machine
must be opened and the material removed from
the cutter slot by hand.
Switch the machine off at the main switch (1)
(Fig. 2), disconnect the mains plug and inform a
person who is authorised to carry out this work.
MOTOR FAULT:
The machine is equipped with a thermally protec-
ted motor. Should this motor be overloaded, it will
switch off automatically. In such case the pilot lamp
II „MOTOR FAULT“ (5) (fig. 2) comes on.
After a cooling down period of approx. 10 minutes
(depending on the room temperature) you can
restart the machine and continue shredding.
MAINTENANCE GEAR / LIGHT BARRIER:
Once a month the two synchronous wheels as
well as the chain wheels and the drive chain
must be regreased and the light barrier including
the reflector must be dusted off.
The machine must be turned off at the
main switch (1) (fig. 2) and unplugged
before the machine is opened.
Proceed as follows:
1. Remove both side covers of the housing.
2. Grease the above-mentioned parts of the gear
with a brush or a grease gun with conventional
lubricating grease.
3. Wipe off the light barrier and the reflector with
a soft duster.
4. Reinstall the side covers and plug the mains
plug in. The machine can be put back into
operation.
DISPOSING OF THE MACHINE:
Dispose of the machine in an
environmentally sound fashion at the end
of its useful service life. Do not dispose of
any of the parts included in the machine
or its packaging with household trash.
